Widdie - scorn where it's due

Seeing her made me realise just how much I truly dislike her.

She couldn't dance, and more to the point she didn't want to dance.

And now she comes on, and she's pronouncing on dances she's never even done. I mean, what? Hasn't she got some homophobic event to attend or something?

Grrrr....

And Chris de Burgh and Tom Ellis have lots of experience of ballroom dancing to qualify them to be on the Friday panel???

Of the 3 - the person who probably DID know most about dancing is Ann - and she actually said she couldn't dance and was utter rubbish last year (and said she was glad they went before the VW because it was too difficult for her...)!

The Friday panel is more talking about gossip/ music and frocks - and from what I remember - St Arlene of alliterration used to say pretty much the same thing (and she knew the square root of squit all about ballroom dancing too!

You pick the wrong moment to pour scorn on Widdy, mate. CDB is ten thousand times more repugnant.

And Widdy's interest in, and knowledge of, gossip, music or frocks is...?

a smidge better than the one who admitted he hadn't seen any of the series so far...

TBH, much as I love Tom Ellis, I couldn't see much reason for any of the three of them to be there tonight.

You would undoubtedly sound more credible if your biased scorn had been directed to another panelist tonight.

The best advice for you to follow in future to avoid this resulting lack of credibility would be to try, however hard it may be for you, to view things with an open mind rather than your preconceived prejudices.

It was clear for all to see that Ann Widdecombe looked good and did very well on ITT tonight.

Sorry DJ was far too busy hating De Burgh to care about Widdie . You have to time your scorn better . Nothing comes even close to the scorn bestowed on De Blurghhhh

I had exactly the same reaction - also made me appreciate that Anton's partner THIS year is at least beginning to show an interest in dancing, and is good to look at. Shallow? Yep.

Hard one to call - both pretty damn repugnant, agreed.

But interest in hearing sound of her own voice is immense

Pot, may I introduce you to kettle?

Dreadful woman. I hope that's the last we see of her.

I would be careful if I were you. Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Widdy will get you my pretty and your little dog too.

Widdy's bright red lipstick reminded me of a child who had drawn on a bulldog with crayon.

The square root of squit would actually be bigger than squit itself whenever squit itself is less than 1, e.g. the square root of squit 0.64 is 0.8.

It all depends on whether St Arlene knew more, or less, than 1.

Chris De Burgh hadn't see any of this series - he said that - but the producers of It Takes Two deemed him worthy of appearing on the show and offering his opinion. Daft. Why get a celeb to appear if they haven't seen any of the show.

And he seems to want to be in SCD, maybe he's thinking he can rumba with that song. *vomit emoticon*

Ditto, De Blurghhhhh actually made the Widdy tolerable, and that takes some doing.

Thank goodness for Tom & Zoe. Though apart from the odd reference to dance it was the poorest Friday panel ever (excluding Tom of course)

I wouldn't go that far. I just sat there as if I'd been cloned into two opposite sides of the same person, smiling beatifically at Tom Ellis (cos he's well pretty innit?) and hissing and spitting at the other two while wishing the ten plagues of Egypt on them. It was not a pleasant experience. I really should have switched off.

I'll give her grudging praise as she ACTUALLY WATCHED THE SHOW SHE WAS BEING PAID TO COMMENT ABOUT UNLIKE THE LITTLE HOBGOBLIN SAT NEXT TO HER (sorry, for shouting, but that really peed me off) - luckily the the lovely Mr Ellis was there or I'd be out shopping for a new TV today

That is true but I still wouldn't go so far as to use the words "praise" or "tolerable". I could possibly think of situations in which I would use those words when applied to either of them but having them sitting smiling on a sofa whilst being paid cash by the BBC is not one of them. I'll go so far as to say she was improved by the third guest to the extent that she was not the most objectionable person on the show. She was still objectionable though.
