Hypothetically, if one assumes that the reason threads are started / bumped is to raise the profile of a certain celeb, then the worst thing you can do is to feed the troll and continue bumping or contributing to that thread.

Hypothetically, the best way to deal with such a person might be to ignore him. Or, in theory, to start a thread saying the exact opposite, and then ensure that your thread is higher-profile than his.

It does seem very sad when allegedly the only contribution to some threads is the same person bumping things to the top. Especially with nothing new to say.
