Will bad Press kill E.E.?
Today the Sun did a double page spread about ways of improving the show which took the form of a rather unfunny piss-take.
Thisislondon is conducting a poll about whether or not E.E. is worth continuing. Apparently only 22% so far think the programme is worth saving. Bookmakers are betting that Christmas viewing figures will be at an all time low. Waht do you all think? My view is that the departure of Louise Berridge is to be welcomed as is the arrival of the new producer. She should be given a chance to ensure that storylines improve and the worthwhile actors/actresses have opportunities to demonstrate their true worth. (Juley, Vicky, The Ferrieras, Spencer and a few others are not included in this category of course.) |

Not really - it's far from its best at the moment.
Better, but not it's best. Think back to the gripping days with Steve's death, Mitchell's canal splash, Little Mo's abuse, etc etc All before Dennis, Alfie etc arrived - I know they're popular but EastEnders was better without them! |

If bad press would kill EE it would have been Dead and buried long ago. It is fortunate that LB has gone and hopefully the new exec producer will restore it to its glory days. If she fails then Im afraid it may be too late
