If they keep her away from the booze and restyle her a little, I think she could be completely ace and original. ![]() GO RO ![]() Rowetta to WIN

![]() GO RO ![]() Rowetta to WIN ![]() So although some of them there may have great ability, these shows tend to favour the contestants who have a predictability about them, and who are more likely to appeal to primetime Sat night mainstream audiences who like the familiar pop act package. Sp performers like Rowetta who have an edginess, may sit uncomfortably with the type of audience X-Factor is trying to get it's viewers from. You never get winners who truly are edgy and have a predictable edge about them,...you always get people who are relatively "safe" and bland doing well. Comfortable viewing for an audience who are used to comfort viewing. (Although as always, it's possible you might get one or two exceptions to the rule) Rowetta's edginess has an appeal to me, but would it to the general type of viewer of Saturday night mainstream on ITV? I like her a lot and would like her to win. But I just have a nagging feeling that someone like Louis, Simon, or whoever is going to say to her that she wouldn't be able to handle it all,..or the usual cliches. I think if she stays in, she may have to come across as more confident every week. Or carry herself in a way that appears she is getting stronger and slightly more confident as each week goes on, but keeping a slight nervousness there. I don't know, it's a hard one to call. ITV viewers tend to be so fickle, and tend to shun anything that isn't anything other than bland. |

I think Fantasia was so far ahead of the others, that it would have been ludicrous for anyone else to win. And the American's generally appreciate sassiness. Unlike us, they dont go in for the tall poppy syndrome quite so much. Not that I liked Michelle McManus, but the sheer joy that's she's failed to set the world alight, says a lot about the British and their love of seeing people fail ![]() I dont rate Rowetta, but, as I've said, I wont make up my mind until the live shows. That's when those who have what it takes, generally shine.

I'm more anxious about this result than anything that happened on PI2

I'm rather sceptical here. Rowetta doesn't appear to be the sort to actually be sitting in front of a computer and surfing the forums. And the replies are all so very well constructed. After all if she really is on Simon's top 3 then there's no way she'll have time with all this forum thing......I doubt very much if she ever gets any break to breath let alone sit & type.
But what I think is that Rowetta has got someone else (friend, daughter, son, whatever) who's acting on her behalf. |

You couldn't be more wrong.
I built my own website and write on my forum most days when I can. I only registered my name on here so that nobody else could use it and just thought I'd say thankyou to people for leaving messages about me, good and bad. Take care Ro http://www.rowetta.com |

It is Rowetta who is posting in her own name! Trust me I know! Simon will not be working them to death right at this moment! I know we have had fakes on the various forums here before but Rowetta types like Rowetta if that makes any sense! She is the real deal and I am with her 100% through this competition!!
Go Ro!! |

Hello all, am new here. Thank god found this X-Factor thing this early, missed almost all of BB5 here. Reading this really makes the experience so much better. And so glad to find Rowetta already has a fanbase, I though I was the only one liking her. Go Rowenta!

Heh- that was intentional, as I have been calling her Rowenta so far, as could not remember real name! No offense, if you're reading!

Let the Ro Times Roll.
I'm REALLY pleased that the GO RO! campaign is gathering pace,we simply MUST continue to help her achieve X Factor success.
This is strictly IMO but I don't see anyone in all three sections of XF who can hold a candle to Rowetta. If we are going strictly by "What is THE X Factor?" then it can ONLY be Rowetta, she is the (again just my opinion)ONLY contestant who ticks ALL the boxes. I don't know about anyone else but I want the winner to be someone who is original, edgey, fun, and above all REAL...so for this PIV it can only be Ro... Momentum can be difficult to stop and I think the Ro Wagon is already rolling. Go Ro!!!!!! (hugs) PIV XX |
