Stacey Slater
DS reports that the new Slater cousin will be 16 and called Stacey and will be a total bitch. I suppose this will give Charlie and Mo something to do now as none of the other Slaters live at home or are young enough to need them. I hope she is as feisty as they're making her out to be, and a good actress for her and not another ill concieved character played by someone rubbish.

Blimey, she says she's watched the programme since she was 4?
I don't think I'd let anyone under about 11 or 12 anywhere near it...

Oh wow she does look a bit like Janine from a few years ago doesn't she. I think she's being modelled on her older cousin Kat. I hope she's as good as they're making her out to be. The Squares new superbitch eh! well she has a lot to live up to if she's taking over the superbitch role from Janine. I just hope she's not like Gus, Juley and all those other planks who have been brought in and they're basically just rubbish. It sounds like they are really hyping Stacey's arrival so obviously they have some big plans for her. It would be a shame if she is a flop as all the Slaters as a family are great, now Lynne is gone, we need another one to step in and I think this one might just do the trick. Looking forward to seeing her.
Plus I'm glad her sirname is Slater and not Porter as was originally suggested on here. And this will bring Charlie and Big Mo back into it a bit too. |

Says she's Charlie's great niece, that must mean that Uncle Harry had a son as well, either that or Charlie had another brother we haven't heard about who had a son.

Oh right "great" niece. Sorry about that. Yeh that means there must be a brother or sister for Zoe out there somewhere. Which then make Zoe Stacey's aunt?

Not Aunt, no, it would make Stacey and Zoe second cousins, it would make the other Slater girls Stacey's first cousins, once removed. Having said that, if Stacey's father IS Harry's son, then Zoe would be her aunt AND second cousin! I don't ever remember it being mentioned that Harry had any children, other than Zoe, so there must be another Slater who is Stacey's parent. Complicated!

I don't understand the relationship with the rest of the family, despite discussions here.
If Stacey is Charlie's GREAT NIECE, then she is two-generations away from Charlie. She would need to be in the same generation as the girls in order to be their cousin, so it seems they should be her aunties. I think though, it's the Charlie issue that is the problem. He's far more likely to be a straight forward Uncle, rather than Great uncle, so the girls can be cousins. That said, who is the aunt/cousin/whomsoever that the girls occasionally go and stay with? The BBC website suggests Stacey has come to stay because her mum has been sent to a madhouse. Maybe Stacey's mum couldn't cope with Little Mo and her traumas coming to stay for months on end ... chuff.x. |

So Little Mo and Cousin Stacey both arrive in November. Also Kat is back in November too for a brief period. Woohoo, Slaters are back! lol

Yes, Charlie's daughter will be a generation above Stacey, Zoe will be the same generation. Charlie's daughters won't be her aunties though, they will be the aunties of each other's children. In order to be Charlie's great niece, one of Stacey's parents must be the son (poss daughter if unmarried) of a sibling of Charlie's. This would also make Stacey's connecting parent Kat and co's cousin. Because she is the daughter of that cousin, it makes her Kat's first cousin ONCE REMOVED as she is a generation away from Kat, and Zoe's second cousin, because Zoe's parent and Stacey's parent are cousins.
As I have said before, it never is easy with Slater relationships 'cos they keep it in the family doubling up on relationships. I bet you're still confused along with most people! |

Are the Slaters incapable of producing anything other than girls???????????This just means that Charlie will have another gurl to protect and look out for.
Do hope she manages to pull off the super bitch though. The Square needs one since Janine has gone. |
