I really admire this song from her last album. Its a shame she never released it as a single I reckon it could put an end to this Adele tittle tattle song that won't pipe up. I like Adele but enough's enough! Oh and Beyonce's latest album is rubbish.

I wouldn't say Smash Into You was in any way a ballad but its got potential to get familiar to people if say somebody covered it. My girlfriend loves how I connect her to this song.

Thoughts?

It's a really, really nice track but I don't think it would have worked as a single. I think she picked the right singles for her last album. Only other track I wish she had released is 'Radio'.

She stole it from Jon Mclaughlin - it was due to be on his 2nd album "OK Now" as Smack Into You - I guess "Queen" B got her people/lawyers to block his version....and it didn't appear, but thankfully it leaked

Smash Into You rocked! It could have been a hit, Radio and Smash Into You should have been singles, not Video Phone.

I like this song from the Sasha era. Wouldn't have worked as a single but her vocals are great on it.

I love how it's used as the end credits song for her own film Obsessed.

Isn't stealing a song a lot of trouble to go to just for a track she never was going to release?
Still I think its a lovely well sung song and deserves to be heard.

Don't worry, she didn't actually steal it. Someone else wrote the lyrics and recorded the song, and Beyonce sang the final version.

It's such a good song imo. I loved that album as a whole. But more the Sasha Fierce songs.

Jon's was a final version and due to be on his album - until she got her filthy mits on it

Love this song. One of my favourites from 'I Am....Sasha Fierce'.

Radio was actually released as a single in certain territories.

Not really. Jon got a VERY nice, big sum of money from it.

If he had integrity, he would've turned down the money and kept the song for himself.
