I got the ultimate mummy collection (4 disk box set), a quick ?, according to the box and reviews I've read the UK version (which is what I have) has a DD & DTS soundtrack, how do I select the DTS soundtrack has I can find no settings in the menus of the disc's?

Last DVD I bought before Christmas was But I'm A Cheerleader, got it from DVDoptions, but was annoyed when I found out it would have been cheaper at Play247. Hmmm.
Since Christmas I've bought Loves Labours Lost, Stigmata and Requiem For a Dream from Play247, all yet to be delivered, but am annoyed because have found out that Requiem For a Dream is £5 cheaper at HMV (£9.99) than at Play247 (£14.99) (oh and you don't have to wait for the postie either). Hmph! So I'm going to make a new years resolution, now, never pay more than £12 for a region 2 DVD. Ever. No exceptions. Rentals I've got out right now include Buffy season 2 disk 5 and Fight Club from In-Movies.com, and The Wizard of Oz from DVDoptions, and am waiting for Cruel Intentions from Movietrak. I reckon The Wizard of Oz is brilliant, I've extended the rental from DVDoptions once already, and will probably buy it when I can get a decent price for it. |

Originally posted by squidgy I've order a few DVD's from play247 and I think they're (both the website and the DVD's) are excellent. The prices are hard to beat (on DVD's, videogames are a different matter) even if another website has a DVD for the same price it will usually not include P&P. They also arrive fairly quickly - about 3 or 4 days is how long it took about a week before Christmas. But obviously if you're in a hurry a real-life shop can't be beat for an instant fix.Since Christmas I've bought Loves Labours Lost, Stigmata and Requiem For a Dream from Play247, all yet to be delivered, but am annoyed because have found out that Requiem For a Dream is £5 cheaper at HMV (£9.99) than at Play247 (£14.99) (oh and you don't have to wait for the postie either). Hmph! So I'm going to make a new years resolution, now, never pay more than £12 for a region 2 DVD. Ever. No exceptions. I'm also not going to spend anywhere as near as much on DVD's as I used to in the past. Like you, I doubt I'll buy a film for any more than £12 - I'll make exceptions if it's some amazing special edition with lots of features and I'll also dish out the cash for things like the Simspons first series (£39.99 in the UK or £17.99 for the Region 1 version from play.com!) |
