Will someone please start a thread about those professionals that drink!

After all, it actually changes ones perceptions, ones ability to speak, walk, rationalise and in many cases makes one more prone to violence, it affects ones health and can kill ones relationships (friends and loved ones too).

Why do people insist on bashing smokers!!!!! It does not make any sense IMO.

A fellow smoker, CloudyE?

They all drink. It'd be a very boring thread!

Dancers who drink have been known to dance in circles.

Not any longer but it still gets my goat that alcohol is totally accepted, expected and advertised with such disregard for its hazards and dangers. As I said before, smokers get it simply because of the smell more than any other issue.

Smokers have no sense of irony. I saw a smoker today puffing away just outside the British Heart Foundation shop.

Surely Pasha isn't a smoker.

Not sure why if people smoke it creates some sort of different persona to that person, but it somehow does.

We perceive athletes, and these pros are a athletes, to think that their bodies are shrines and they should protect that.

Smoking does sap oxygen out of the blood and skin, damages lungs, reduces the intake of oxygen into the alveoli, thus the blood is not oxygenated to the maximum, which in turn will reduce the body's efficiency. Added to that the toxins inhaled with every cigarette, it's really not a great pastime health wise.

A lot of actors smoke, I assume it is the waiting around aspect of their job.

Faggy breath, which is thick and dense immediately after smoking, gravelly voice which is the first signs that it has damaged the larynx. Smoking also creates tar in the lungs and seeing is believing, it is a runny brown gunge which by choice you wouldn't want in a vital organ.

However it is a magnificent revenue building pastime for the government coffers.

I'm sure I've seen a photo on here somewhere of Vincent smoking.

Bruno smokes and seems pretty fit. And doesn't Craig smoke a pipe?

Oh, and I know three of Vincent's partners (June Brown, Felicity Kendal and Charlie Brooks) smoke.

James is beginning to develop a gravelly voice.

Since you said this I can't stop looking at Kristina's boobs, just to figure out if they are real or not! One of them was mostly out during their AT.

Alright, one dazzling 10 then.
But why four 10's?

http://journalisted.com/article/110vw

That was the November 2008 article showing Kristina's marvellous attributes as made by God. But after NOTW closed this article with pic can no longer be displayed, unless anyone knows how to contact the author Georgina Dickinson.

I just don't understand why a dancer would opt to get her breasts re-done. It'd be such a nuisance!

But that (half the boob being out during AT) is what I call professionalism. The celeb girls need to learn from her. Most of the boob out and in danger of falling completely out and she continued dancing. Didn't even break her line to try to fix it.

What a strange reaction are you likening smoking to being a mass murderer? A pedophile? A rapist? A thief? Someone who robs old people of their pensions?

I would guess that happens because people tend to overreact about it.

Richard Gleave would likely have devoted a whole chapter in his book to the shifting centre of gravity as half the orb leans slightly to one side of the orbit.

Must urgently investigate (hurrying off stage left to Youtube).

Isn't he a Russian? From what I've seen when I've been to Russia it would be far, far more surprising if he didn't smoke.

I think Kristina is the most amazing dancer, a talented and wholly committed professional and I admire her tremendously... but I'm sorry, if anyone tries to tell me with a straight face that her assets are natural, I'm going to have to peg them as too-naive-to-be-allowed-out-on-their-own.

You simply do not maintain such a tight frame with such a low bodyfat percentage and -still- keep your boob tissue/fatty tissue. You just don't. That's basic, fundamental biology. You'd sooner see a set of DDs on a triathlete.

I can partially understand why professional dancers opt for the knife - it's so much about the visual aesthetic and sex appeal (particularly in the Latin) that they may feel at a disadvantage if they don't join the surgeon's queue, but personally I think it's a damn shame. Flavia doesn't lose any of her spectacular allure by being naturally athletic all over, if you know what I mean, and I think that a naturally svelte line is actually more appealing. Then again, my tastes may not be the norm.

But natural... ? For crying out loud... wake up.

I actually have to say, I think a pair of fake tits in Latin looks wrong, wrong, wrong. It ruins the entire look.

Look at Joanna, Yulia, Melia . . . so perfectly beautifully slim and athletic and all completely flat chested - they are absolutely gorgeous and the epitome of what a Latin lady should look like. I think I'd vomit if any of them ever chose to opt otherwise.

I don't think Kristina looks as fake boob wise as she used to, but sometimes, I do find the lady pros on SCD with their boobs a bit worrying as it looks like they're making a mad dash for freedom...that might just be down to poor dressmaking though!

Definitely agree with what Becca said! Plus..you can always add padding into the bra area of dresses if needed, the natural look is much better than plastic surgery enhanced boobs!

I saw Melinda in Blackpool Congress 2009, in her light makeup looking like a very sweet and attractive girl next door. She is 2 years older than Joanna and Yulia, with a little more bosom. Melinda does not go in for superhuman spins so an extra pound or two is immaterial.

That male pro looks so greasy. In fact, did he actually grease up his chest? This is how I know I'm really in no way a pure ballroom fan. Whenever I see the DanceSport competitions / exhibitions, I often think the dancers look ridiculous. They're often so inorganic and false looking to me. I much prefer the way ballroom is presented in the pro dances on SCD or DWTS, or the stage shows like Burn the Floor.
