Would Frankie be better off in a band ala Alex Turner?

Frankie has received a lot of (undeserved) criticism as a solo singer, but is that because he should be in a band?...Imagine he was fronting a band like The Arctic Monkeys or The Libertines...I can see him carving out a great career for himself and his rock star lifestyle would only add to his appeal...

Would Frankie be better off in a band and what could his band be called?

I'd go for 'The Cocozza Casanovas'...

Please don't insult Alex Turner or The Libs. If he was in a band I'd suggest he play bass or drums and never sing.

Certainly not.

Frankie's outstanding talent shouldn't be a platform for three or four hangers on.

Yes as long it involves him playing an instrument and not actually singing.

He should be allowed to stand on the stage in all his lonesome glory, we dont want bloody musicians distracting us from his performance.

Mr. B does have a point. Mick Jagger was also very unpopular at one stage for his long hair and both artists clap their hands when singing. Jagger made it, why not Frankie?

How about a semi-jokey name like "The Galling Stones" ?

You know that Alex Turner and Carl Barat/Pete Doherty actually write their own songs and play their own instruments don't you? I am getting sick of saying this

They'd be better off just playing their instruments, giving their songs to someone else to sing, keeping their mouths shut and not subjecting us to their horrible voices.

but the thing is Alex Turner and Pete Doherty (contrary to what people may believe on here) can actually sing
