I thought James should have gone. He's going to grow up to be Michael Sophocles, that boy; a dreadful thing to say of anybody, I know, but he has the true Sophocles "You like this bit? That was all me and nobody else" patter right down.

I thought the girls' selling technique was pretty sharp practise. Whose idea was that? I had the impression it was Zara, but thinking back I'm not so sure.

Comparing this year's series to the last one, although they are all still only sixteen and seventeen, the last lot seemed much younger somehow. Spotty, self conscious, tears, the girls overly made up and posing. I thought they were really sweet last year and quite typical teenagers. Not saying I don't like these ones but they don't seem a lot different to the adult Apprentice candidates.
