If any of you have access to US proxy servers you can sign in to the US Netflix site using your UK credentials and get access to all of that lovely content.

Um, I can't them allowing that for too long and surly they got to have some sort of FUP.

Not taking my phone into the equation because I know the screen on mine is smaller than most smart phones, but even on larger screen phones I struggle to see any detail.

Nope no FUP but you cannot use it for tethering or they will disable your account. They have a separate package for tethering.

Others on various forums have accessed the US content with their UK account; I don't think the accounts are region locked.

The US content is awesome and that Unblock US site is great and really easy to use. I have half of my computers accessing the UK site and the others set up for US.

Sorry if it's already been asked but is there any site or twitter profile etc. that informs you when new content is added?

I looked at the library today and I am fairly certain that there are titles on there that weren't yesterday.

i know someone who is getting it installed in a couple of weeks time so I will have a look at what it is like and then look at costs.

If anyone ask me what ISp I am using, I will tell them and tell them what it does for me, but I don't go around as if I got shares in the company and try and convince people that it is the best company around

That is nice for you, see what it is like when you get fibre and Talk Talk realises that it is costing them to much as they will then be back using BT network. the reason they can make broadband cheap and unlimited is because they use their own network, et of their own network and onto Bt network, it could be different.

Try using around 600Gb or more a month and see if Talk Talk will complain about that, i myself don't but I know someone who does on the Cable and wireless network and never had a problem.

Anyway, getting back onto topic, well kind off, we still need decent broadband in this country at a decent price for people to make use of services like Netflix to their full.

300GB a month is pretty much minimum for my lad and I and we have done over 600 a couple of months running.

So TT don't cap and won't when using fibre. You make things up as you go chap.

I have been wondering this too. They don't seem to mention new additions as they are put on there. I think it'd be great if they had a daily/weekly E-Mail that they sent out to users to inform them of all the new stuff

Currently using on Wii and I've looked through all the categories, then I notice the Popular on Facebook category and see movies that are not shown in the other categories.

I wondered the same on the ps3, on the iPad I can view all of a genre.

if you dont want to pay for a service and lets face it who does , then use "hotspot shield" they do a add supported version which is free.
works flawlessly with netflix and pandora and hulu infact i am yet to find a site i cannot acess .

The issue with that is I can't use it on my PS3 which is how I view content on the TV.

Yeah it does also say use an email address too, there's a link under the Facebook login on the main site.

There isn't one. Instead you're supposed to rate movies you've seen and it learns what you like.. and it lists the movies in each category that best matches stuff you like.

It's probably not super effective right now, but it will later when it gets the same content as the US. The US version has 14,000 titles available for streaming... a list would be pretty much useless.

The recommendation engine is truly amazing. Back in 2006, Netflix started a competition where they gave away a million dollars if you could improve their recommendation engine by more than 10%, or $50,000 to the algorithm that scores the highest if no one beats the 10% threshold each year. In 2009, 3 years later, a group won the grand prize with a 10.05% improvement. The group comprised of 2 researchers from AT&T Labs working with 2 Austrian researchers from Commendo Research & Consulting GmbH, a researcher from Yahoo, and 2 researchers from Pragmatic Theory.

There is on the website, for genres, at least. If you go to the genre you want to look at, e.g. Comedies, there's a box on the right saying "See All Comedies". You can then click Sortable List on the left to see them all in a list.

erm ever tried streaming form your pc to your ps3 or connecting your pc directly to the tv.
its a far superior service than "unblock us" and its free .
