Missed this when you posted it, is it really that simple ?

If I understand correctly by just changing the DNS settings on the Wii I can view the US service on that console and the UK service on the Xbox with the same account details ?
Yes it is, install the Netflix Channel/App and sign up then follow the this link and enter your email address to start your 7 day trial then manually enter this into your DNS settings (after the 7 day trial it cost about £3.20 a month to keep using the DNS server)
Primary DNS 208.122.023.022
Secondary DNS 208.122.023.023

You don't need to pay £3.20 a month at all!

Install Netflix, register your account. Go into your Wii's internet settings change your DNS to that above (I didn't need the extra 0 at the beginning of 23 and 22), and it'll work, simple as

Sorry, no; is this something i just need to do on the apple tv device?

Is there a preferred method, DNS number to use?

I'm not sure if it can be done manually on the Apple TV, not tried it on there, but it works on the Wii and PS3.

(no need to pay any unblock sites!)

Primary DNS 208.122.23.022
Secondary DNS 208.122.23.023

Er for a week until they block you. Otherwise everyone would be doing it for free.

I changed mine on the 15th (as evidenced by a post in this thread).

As of today, it's working absolutely fine That's 10 days for me so far!

I'll see how long I can keep it free for

(and will notify when it stops being free!)

No. I changed my DNS for free, but apparently it will soon get blocked or something. Others said 7 days, I've managed for 10, so will see how long I can go before it does get blocked

Certainly not paying £3.whatever a month until I have to

i have set up an iTunes us account no problem and logged into this on my apple tv. Seems to be working as the iTunes store is now US on the apple tv.

However netflix is still looking like the UK version.

I have restarted the apple tv, logged out and back in to netflix but with no joy?

Do I need to create a new netlfix account now?

Any guidance appreciated.

Thanks,

I'm trying to do this now, and I'm not being allowed to proceed without a billing address.... Anyone got any ideas?

(I have selected "none" as the payment option...)

Try using your Internet Channel browser and it goes direct to UnblockUs homepage asking for an email address as your using their DNS sever.
It's great that your still able to connect and I'm in the same boat and will just see how long it lasts, but at least I know the reason why if and when I do get connection issues.

Ahh.. I didn't realise it was someone elses DNS.

In that case I may subscribe then as I don't want to be using illegally

(she says even though she's watching netflix from US etc in the UK........ )

Sounds like your subscribing direct to the US site so will ask for some info as they also do DVD rental. I saw someone else say they used the zipcode of 90210.
If you subscribe to the Uk Netflix and then change the DNS you should be able to loggin to the US Netflix on the same UK loggin.

It's only £25 quid a year for Unblock US if you don't pay monthly.

if you are hoping to use a non portable device like a Smart TV, Blue Ray player etc you will need a USA Netflix Account, or they wont work..

Ah I see. So I suppose that's means that having a US account you cannot access the UK stream using those devices without subscribing to the UK Netflix too?

They said on Twitter that you can pay by PayPal and if your having problems with it on the sign up if you call 0800 096 6379 they can help you with it.

When I used the browser and entered www.netflix.com into the www. tab it showed unlblockus page on my Wii until I entered my email address then it dissappeered the next time and just loaded the page I wanted.
