Try changing your DNS back to normal and giving it another go, to see if Netflix UK is screwed for you too, or just Netflix US.

People in the Nintendo forum have been saying that Unblock-US have finally been clamping down on people who don't pay... would that cover you?

No that doesn't cover me!!

Weirdly, set the DNS back and can't even get through to UK Netflix - the same 'unable to connect to Netflix' message displays. Every other online service through both PS3s are working including MLB.tv, BBC iPlayer, 4OD. I'm stumped

My Wiis working again so can carry on watching Lillyhamer.
Have a read of this for your info,
Quote:
“Unblock-Us Agent
Hello,

There have been issues with the Netflix servers over the past 24 hours. Please try to connect again.

Whenever you can't get your service to work on a device, please reset it by powering it off. Turn it back on, then BEFORE you try and connect again with that device, please use your computer (that is set up with our DNS) and go to our home page and click on the check service link to confirm your service is active. Most times, it's because our system isn't recognizing your device and by using the Check Service, this validates you and your subscription so that your other devices will be allowed to connect.”

Have you payed unblock-us to use their service?

Yep, having problems on my PS3 too. I'm not using Unblock though, just streaming the US content through my PS3 after changing the DNS settings.

Looks like they've finally caught on. Shame, there was a lot of great stuff on there.

Well technically you are using Unblock as youve been using their server to access the US content.
Basically they want you to now pay £3.20 to let you carry on using it.

In that case goto to the site and click on check service and it should start working again.

Today it stopped working on the Wii and the PS3 but working fine on my laptop.

I had to delete the Netflix icon on my Wii and redownload and it works.

I've yet to sort out the PS3.

I see. I don't mind paying for it. I just didn't know I was using the Unblock service.

How do I pay for this service? Do I have to do it on my laptop?

Thanks & sorry if it's a really stupid Q

I've just tried it on the PS3 and it didn't work

I changed the PS3's DNS back to normal, then reset the Netflix app and logged in again by holding Start & Select, then changed the DNS back again... seems to work (I got to the menus at least, with all the US content, instead of just "Netflix is unavailable"). This is on a paid and verified Unblock-US account, too.

According to unblock-us support, if you have login issues then you need to goto unblock-us site and click on Check Service to resume access.
Apparently this has been done in an attempt to block freeloaders from taking advantage of using the service after the 7 day trial.

I don't think that's true. I had already tried "check service" before, and did it again afterwards. I even went on Netflix US on my PC - no issues.

I have also just used Netflix US on my Xbox 360, to watch Troll Hunter, after an evening of not having any luck with the PS3... no problems at all.

Turned on the PS3 straight after, ran Netflix... ... ... ... ... ... "unavailable".

Thanks. Done this & i've managed to get it working again. It didn't ask for any payment & doesn't say how long the trial is for.

I don't mind paying so I guess it will tell me when I have to pay up.

A word of warning, you can't manage your account effectively enough and remove items from "Just Watched" which is annoying and also potentially embarrassing. I have cancelled my account in protest.

We should have a right to privacy and Netflix should not collect and save our data forever.

LOL! Netflix uses your viewing history to determine what you might like to watch next. What could you possibly be watching on Netflix to be embarrassed about?

Seems to be working again on my PS3.

I changed the DNS back to auto, then deleted and re-installed Netflix, and reset Netflix so I had to log in again.

Changed the DNS back to Unblock-US... Netflix US works once more.

I think we have a closet Sarah Jessica Parker fan here!

Seriously though, I agree - if you flick through a bunch of films or TV series to see what you might want to watch, it would useful to be able to delete anything you don't want to remain in the list.

You can, all you need to do is log into your account via PC/Laptop and highlight a film or show then select Not Interested on whatever you don't want to see.
