Marcus is really cute! And the guys from the Risk ain't that bad...I agree though, on the whole there's much less eye-candy.

None of the contestants are ugly,IMO.
I don't really look at them except in terms of talent(skip most of the show exceptperformances,too,because the scripted drama isn't interesting to me),but most of them look great,and I bet plenty of viewers find them attractive.
As for Leroy from the USA show,I am waiting for the drama when they discover his real name is Dorian and there's a painting in his attic! He looks great,with a voice to match.

They even sabotaged him and made him look about 12 with the haircut. Prior to that he looked reasonably mature, and stunning. He was definitely the best looking of them all. Well, imo.
Marcus and Derry are nice, but Charlie is the most appealing one left I think.

I think they mean lighter skinned or with more "white" facial features which to a degree I find true for myself and its certainly the same when it comes to successful Hollywood woman. But most viewers of the X-Factor are white so they will probably find people more like them appealing.
I think Marcus is totally adorable but Derry doesn't really do anything for me. To be honest I don't find anyone particularly attractive this year. Sophie was hot until she got that hideous fringe and started dressing like Carole Vordaman.
