There all 'out' though - the good thing this year is it just hasn't come up, no one feels the need to mention it on the show, which is how it should be, but when asked none of them lie about it.
I remember when Will Young came out Richard & Judy had a phone-in poll asking whether or not he would have won if he'd already been out.

I'm afraid, it would be the same today. They'd lose the young girls vote! It's girls and gay men that mostly vote. remember Joe last year, we all knew it, but he would never risk coming out before winning!

Joe's support came mostly from the more mature viewers so I doubt it would have made much difference.

Very good point! Theres no doubt, Johnny is recieving the gay vote. Although when I were watching it in the G-A-Y bar in London the other week, Marcus seemed very popular!

I doubt it. Most gay men are not keen on overly-camp gay men. Some even think they're bad for the image and perception of gay men.
