Does X Factor take over your life?

I like the X Factor I think it's a fun show and it's HARMLESS. I see people comment on things and say they got very angry about so and so being voted out and cried over this person and how they feel absolutley disgusted that someone is still there.. It's just like why do people get so worked up over a show? I mean if one of the acts I like gets voted out I just say oh that's a shame right what's for tea? I just don't see why people become so obsessed with it and actually cry their eyes out, it's just a show haha.

When Danyl Johnson was eliminated in 2009 I vowed not to watch the show in 2010...I've only just started watching again...

No, but Kitty may attempt some form of demonic possession this weekend.

It doesnt take over my life, it takes over a couple of hours over the weekend when I decide to watch it. I know some people who choose to watch the show instead of going on a night out with friends, which confuses me as the show is still available to watch in the morning, but you would completely miss the night out.

I get far too obsessed. It's not healthy, but I can't help it. I should be old enough to know better

Well I do log on during the show to talk about it, and on monday it is pretty much our (me and my mates) convo before my 10am lecture but apart from that it doesn't rule my life.. I don't vote etc.

I'd never skip the X Factor for a night out, especially on a Sunday...you always need to be around to vote...you could easily forget on a night out...

Not really, but ever since 2009 and the dreadful series that was - I vowed never to take it seriously again, its a popularity contest and a soap opera really.

I used to be obsessed previous yrs but this yr not so much! Still enjoy watching it though but I guess it's like big brother i used to be obsessed with it for yrs and then slightly less every yr and now watch it maybe 2/3 times a week. I'm way more excited for 'The Voice UK' time for a change!

The fact that I'm on this forum right now would suggest so

I get waaaay too attached Although tbh the only year I got madly obsessed was 2009 which was due to the fact that my friends and I went and 'stalked' the contestants and got a bit twitter obsessed lol ... I was only 15 at the time so I'd like to think that was acceptable! I must admit I used to get so nervous during the results I could barely breathe and I cried when Lucie and Lloyd got eliminated.. oh dear

No not really. I used to. I like posting on here during x factor and I usually support my favourite and/or best act of the night with a vote each week but I don't think about it inbetween times, like while I'm eating my lunch or anything.
