Who else loves this genius? I really have been captivated by his music over this past year, he really is a talented man! His latest album is just stunningly beautiful, honestly 'Love & Hard Times' & ' Questions for The Angels' are contenders for my favourite!!

So to cover it, I love him.

My fave albums at present (still listening through!)

Hearts & Bones - It's just
So Beautiful or So What - It's just gorgeous!

I'm still forming opinions on the others but have heard quite a bit more!!

I love his Graceland album and of course Simon and Garfunkel. You Can Call Me Al is one of my favourite songs.

Sad he isn't more popular, I really love this guys music!

Graceland is really good also, I've listened to it through a number of times, but I still prefer Hearts & Bones & his latest actually! One Trick Pony also has some few top tracks, Rhythm of the Saints is a real great too & then we have Surprsie (which is different, I'm enjoying it) I think I've loved every album I've heard so far! I'm going to give 'You're The One' & 'Songs from The Capeman' a proper listen later!

Hope more fans will discuss, I'll post some links later so people can hear his music!

Yay, Paul Simon.

Graceland is the unofficial anthem of our family. Really hoping to get tickets for next year if he does do a Graceland tour with LBM.

Has anyone just watched the BBC-1 documentary on Simon and Garfunkel? It was excellent.

Agreed. For me, his best album was the eponymous titled one he made just after his split with Art. It was his first solo album, and I don't think he's bettered it.

So far his best album for me is Hearts & Bones and his latest is very good, I can listen to the whole thing and enjoy every track, some beauties on there! The opening track is ok but can get annoying - it's the annoying peoples repeated babble in the background that I don't like! lol

Paul is such a great artist, I also love the duo, Art had a very special voice! I prefer Pauls solo music though I think! I'm sad I missed this documentary will catch it sometime!

Yep, still underrated on DS!

Shame Paul doesn't have more fans of all of his solo music!

I could talk about him all day! lol

Graceland is sickeningly overrated if people took the time to get in to his other albums, they'd forget about Graceland! lol There are too many casual listeners in the world!

I personally like Hearts And Bones, Paul Simon, Surprise, Still Crazy After All These Years & So Beautiful or So What a lot more!

Oh & I even think I like Rhythm of The Saints more as well!

There Goes Rhymin Simon was pretty good. after he went solo.

I thought it was his first solo, but apparently, it was his second.

I only own Graceland, which is great, but after reading this thread, really must check out some of his earlier solo albums.

Paul Simon is my favourite artist and songwriter of all time.

The man is a genius.

And I agree that Hearts & Bones is a work of art.

It's nice to see some comments from other fans.
Apart from my daughter ( who's only 23 and discovered him without my help or recommendation) I don't know anyone else who's as crazy about him as I am.

Yes!!! Biscuitfactory I'm so happy to see you here!!!!!!!!!

I completely agree with you, Paul is also my favourite artist of all time, well definitely my favorite male that's for sure! He is a true genius, he makes me cry, feel joyful, he helps me to think and feel and I love him for it. So glad to see another fan of the masterpiece "Hearts & Bones" as well!

"Graceland" is good no doubt, but because not many people actually bother to explore his music and get that connection with him, it gets very overrated in my opinion!!

I have 6 of his albums in my collection....and growing...

Have listened to Graceland about four times in the past week: just about enough to overplay it. Wow what an album though: witty lyrics, killer grooves. A standout of the 1980's, and up there in great albums of all time, IMO. I've seen Simon interviewed where he says WTTE: "Graceland is my favourite record, my favourite song . . . it's the best I ever did." Sublime

He wrote some great songs, but he needed Art Garfunkel to get the best out of them, something he has never liked.
