There are so many ragbag contenders this year, its difficult one to choose. Fwiw imo they all can sing to a degree, apart from Frankie, some better than others. Song choices have been dire. I just think Sophie has the voice I want to hear again. She hasn't been perfect but she has a timbre on some notes that makes me think wowser, just gorgeous, none of the others make me think 'gorgeous'.

I'm prepared to face a backlash

No backlash from me.

Think she is being set up by Kelly for a fall, as Kelly is behind Misha and Simon is behind Janet. They all can't go forward. If you are a pawn on the chess board expect to be sacrificed.

I love her voice. I keep replaying her versions of the songs she performed the past 3 weeks. Her voice may not be perfect sometimes but she has a certain sound in her voice which is, like you said, is gorgeous.

I'm not really a fan of any of those songs but I've loved all her performances, so I don't feel like Kelly is shafting her.
