The last thing the music industry needs is another bland boy band.

I dont think they will they didnt do to well the past 2 weeks and also look at JLS they were 10 time better than the risk and had a lot more chemistry than the Risk and they still could win.

i quite like the risk but i get the feeling that that lad who was originally in the keys would quite easily drop them if something better came his way so ive never took to him :/

Yes I pick up that vibe. There's something missing, but he was tacked on at the last minute, so I guess they are all making do in the hope of getting some dosh and fame.

I agree with this. I can't get over how he didn't hesitate to drop his original band

They're not bland :s

They'll probably be in the final and have a hit after the show anyway

TBF, it would be cool to have a group win for once, they'd get like an alias of: The first group to win XF!

I agree something's a bit off. They're nice and harmless so they'll draw in votes, and their voices do blend. But I agree that Charlie feels tacked--he's tried this with so many different groups, so it feels a bit artificial. The others are good but not really memorable singers either. I don't feel they're optimizing each other that well. And commercially, they're not really boybands--they have an older feel and look like they'll be into adult contemporary.

They dont seem to gel together though. The 1 with the throat problem last weekend came across as a bit simple on Xtra factor, Derry like a dog with 2 the scottish lad no personality and Charlie as though he is much better than anyone else anyway they are 2 disjointed to win IMHO

The boys from The Keys defended Charlie about that. They said that Charlie spoke to them for about an hour before deciding and they all gave permision for him to go ahead and are supporting him. They criticised how The X Factor edited the situation.

That's good, I didnt think Charlie seemed like the type to just drop them without discussing it first. to be honest, I dont really understand why they didnt just keep The Keys, I reckon they would have been fine in the lives and just needed a bit of work to make it more exciting but that surely would have been easier than creating a whole new group. I dont think The Risk will be big, they might have moderate sucess in the future but Im not convinced they are as popular as we are led to believe.
