I caught the first live show performance of the group Stereo Hoggz on the US X-Factor.

JLS and The Risk are arguably the strongest groups that have been on the show, but Stereo Hoggz made them both look kind of weak. Not only are the vocals/harmonizing on point, but the cheorgraphy/dancing is light years ahead of anything JLS does (who keep trying to cover their average dance skills by making Aston do backflips all the time, or having Marvin lift his shirt).

It's interesting that The Risk are joint favorites to win UK X-Factor. They are good in the context of this show, but I don't think they'd even get on the live shows on the US version.

*correction: The groups on XF UK have all been shockingly bad.

If you cannot see that the US groups are way better, then you are deaf.

I watched XF US last night.

It reminded me, and not least the groups, why I've never followed American talent shows closely.

Overrated doesn't begin to cut it.

Has there ever been an X Factor band that didn't have a dreadful name?

When this this thread become about the other US groups?

Not particularly interested in them. But Stereo Hoggz do completely take a massive dump over any groups that have been on the UK show.

And some excellent US groups got cut before the live shows, to make way for "cuties" with a marketable "look" that Simon would personally find appealing. Can't believe they recreated S Club Juniors for the US market

To be fair individual groups may be better or worse all the time.

Having listened to a bit of them on youtube I can tell you that along with their name - their 80s/90s stuff. Its been done.

They do modernise it all and make it less cliched/cheesy so hats off to them for that.
They put on a really good performance though, its just going beyond that and being more a 'group' I think they'd fine difficult.

The name needs changing mind - its 80's/90's as I say. There were lots of bands similar to this but lacking anywhere near the talent or energy.

I would say their better than other groups, but theres other things to take into account. For example...there nothing like JLS tbf.

(PS: The Comon Eileen ones? I've never seen people destroy a song so much since American Idol did Beatles week...)

They make Nu Vibe look bad, but not The Risk. Stereo Hogs have one lead singer. They could learn from The Risk.

You do understand that the girls were singing on the US X factor, a country that does like that sort of music so much so that the winner of the last American Idol was a country singer. So really the dig about the girls doing country was bit pointless.

Also what I think is pointless is comparing the US girls with the UK girls as the UK have done 3 show some of which were crap, The US girls have only done one show therefore not really an unfair base to judge them to the UK girls just yet.

Back on topic Stereo Hogzz are good but I am only seeing a main singer with 4 backing singer at the moment. But like I said its abit unfair to judge them just yet so I will see how they go when they have done a few more shows.

Don't be so foolish. RandomPoster is correct.

A studio recording of the song was put over the top of their 'live' performances. It's most obvious with some of the others, Elaine Gibbs I think is the best example. The difference between her 'singing' in to the same microphone she then starts to talk in is actually funny.

JLS and G4 were the strongest groups on the XF UK imo. So far I dont think The Risk are at that level...yet.

I like the Stero Hogzz but for me it's the lead singer that is the star...he has a fantastic voice, really nice tone but the others really dont seem to sing much at all. The dancing is great, very polished, but Id prefer to see more singing and fun interaction within the group. At judges houses they pretty much danced the whole time with the occasional backing line...one or two of the boys even mouthed the words at times but not into their mics:

I would have prefered to have seen two other groups go through over these guys - 4Shore and The Answer. Each member of 4Shore could really sing and I loved the vibe between the members in both groups -great chemistry and likeablitity.

Sorry UK tools, but Stero hogs performance was Fresh, Current, Unique and GREAT.

There was only a few performances on the X factor USA that were excellent for me

A) Astro
B) Stereo Hogzz
C) The little kid (not the white one).

I liked Lakoda Rayne but I agree the groups are just as shit as in the UK. I love Rhythmix though.

As for the rest of the talent, it's better than ours overall imo.

Lakoda Rayne has a better chance to tap into the US's country market than Rhythmix has to tap into the UK's urban market. And the girls of Lakoda obviously look way better than those in Rhythmix.

I like the Risk but they feel contrived. The Hogzz easily beat every group in the XFUK.

InTENsity is interesting and at the very least, it's a new group concept for a show like this unlike the typical 3-4-5 piece boy-girl bands we see all the bloody time.
