The live shows really expose how badly Simon and Cheryl are needed

My God, it's getting worse each week.

Cheryl added nothing to the show. Zero, nadda.

She never said anything at all meaningful in all the time she was sat in the chair. Not once.

She talked in platitudes and colloquialisms , utterly meaningless soundbites.

She was there for one thing, to generate media interest , nothing more nothing less.

Now, thats important to the show as a business, and she was successful for them in that regard, anyone who thinks otherwise is being a bit foolish, but adding to the quality of the actual broadcast? Never in a million years.

the judges upped there game this week with all the bitching and back stabbing

its the acts that have ruined the show, they are useless (most of them)

whether its the judges or producers who choose the final 8 for each judge and then the final 4 as well is open to debate, but who ever did deserves to be fired

I disagree, unless you actually go to the studio and watch them you can't judge properly, i had luck to go the first week and third week and in the first week the majority of acts sounded pretty good in the third they were let down by song choice.

Whoever is drawing up the songlist deserves to be fired, I've also been to the 2008 2nd live show, 2009 fourth and fifth live show and last year I went to the seventh live show and the acts sounded worse than last year bar 2008 because that was amazing, I got too see Ruth Lorenzo in her survival song live

Did you watch last year? I'd rather watch this than the Simon and Cheryl show. Their love-in was enough to make you want to vomit. The favouritism he shown for her dire acts was highly unprofessional, rigging the sing offs to keep the gurning goat and the weasel in the competition luckily we all saw through his act and denied his princess her hat trick. The live shows would have been a shambles last year if it wasn't for Dannii providing some constructive feedback. What did Simon and Cheryl offer last year appart from over-praising eachothers autotuned acts?

This is the best year ever in terms of the judging panel!

Kelly and Tulisa actually make interesting, honest points while Simon and Cheryl both bored me to tears last year.

The live shows really show how incompetent both of them were. At least the new panel aren't that self centred.

i'm not saying that they all sound bad, some do some dont.

but they are not the exciting next big thing popstar that we as viewers want. again there will be another underwhelming winner. the contestants are seriously lacking the xfactor, which is the point of the show to find people with that magic sprak

But I was saying it's been like this most years except 2008, people just can't remember.

I was just saying the contestants this year sound better than contestants from a few other series but the are not being done justice with the songs.

I wouldn't have watched the show at all this year with pompous Simon and his sidekick there.

Please god no, not Cheryl, I can just about stomach Cowell but not the pair of them together. What they need are some acts who have a bit of charisma.

That is why Jonny is so popular, and I really like Marcus, he is my early favourite, the rest just have nothing to them, ok voices but that's it. I doubt if they are going to get a star this year.

Nor would I. Chery added nothing to the X Factor except her wardrobe. She was an utterly useless judge, and the show became a love and ego fest for Simon and Cheryl, with Dannii, the only honest and constructive judge left, being ignored.

Simon was only interested in flirting with Cheryl, having Botox, and how long his eyelashes were. He couldn't even remember his own acts' names half the time.

Those two are no loss to me whatsoever. Even on US XF they both trotted out the same old clichés.

Simon, perhaps. Cheryl added absolutely NOTHING to the show though. So why people would want her back, I don't really know.

Correct.

Cheryl arrives- ratings shoot up.
Cheryl leaves- ratings down.

Food for thought.
