Someone's not a fan of Steve Jones (XF USA)

Found this on E online in the comments section... someone's not a fan it seems. Thought I'd share!

Please reconsider the host on the show. I understand there are time limits on making decisions, consoling those who didn't make the cut, etc, but a large part of the host's duties is making this a smooth, comortable transition from a disappointing cut to the next segment. In watching the success of other reality shows, I think the hosts ability to connect with the contestants and the audience is a large contributing factor. The X- Factor's host lacks empathy and the ability to give good off the cuff one-liners to transition from one segment to the next. Bottom line, he makes me uncomfortable. I think he makes a large part of the audience uncomfortable, and he doesn't seem to take any interest at all in the competition. Granted, it's not WWIII, but if you are getting paid to host the show, you should be able to feign concern and interest in the contestants fates.

I have to admit, I don't think he seemed very comfortable last night!

he was dreadful last night. I really liked Steve on T4 but he just looked very very uncomfortable hosting such a huge show. I can only agree with what has been said above no empathy, no charisma, no wit, no charm he lacked it all last night. Still a good looking guy though. But hosting shows just isn't for him.

I cannot see Steve jones surviving past this season, if he does simon cowell needs his head read. I haven't seen the live show yet but I can only imagine. Simon really was a fool for not having a American host or taking dermot over with him, I think the Americans would have loved dermot.

Steve is woeful on USXF. He's utterly bland, Dermot would have been a better choice but I'm glad he stayed for the sake of the UK version.

I never understood why they picked him, over the billions of American hosts. His hosting on lets dance for comic relief was woeful so god knows how he got this gig in the first place. I expect the yanks would be hard pushed to even understand him as well.

He never should have been chosen. I could see this coming a mile off with him looking so uncomfortable and lacking any sort of charisma.
