I always knew this would happen, but I'm still absolutely gutted for Carla. This is just gonna send her on even more of a downward spiral than before and...

i've seen this coming for a long while but its going to be really hard to watch especially if carla has to re-tell what happened to the court.
but i guess that means we will see some more fantastic acting from Ali .
But i hope this isn't the end for carla and peter i'd love to see them together as a couple properly and try to make a go of things but sadly i don't think it will happen
or if it does i don't think it will last longunfortunately .
but i would be really gutted if he went back to leanne ,carla has been through so much heartache in the space of 5 years??(i think?) and i feel that she deserves some happiness .
ideally i'd love to see carla and peter get married ,have a baby and live happily ever after but nothing ever goes smoothly in soaps .
but i am glad we still have about two months of carla and peter to watch before the trial !

Don't know if it helps but after doing a little digging i've found that after Peter and Leannes failed wedding ceremony in Feb 2011, the next Peter and Carla scenes are from 20th June 2011 and then there are quite a lot through june and july.

I agree. I'd be very disappointed... but lets hold on to that little bit of hope - Phil is right in saying they owe it to the viewers to see C&P together.
Regarding trial spoiler... it's going to be so messy and I can see it being devastating for Carla...
Peter seriously needs to stand by her and continue to support her - no matter what.

On a happier note - I enjoyed the tiny little scenes we got on Thursday
* Carla clearly sees Peter in her future - her comment about smoking causing cancer - she's worrying about his health (and I mean you do that about your friends anyway... but it maybe worries her more now she's thinking of having a life with him?)
* Peter seems to see Carla in his future - his comment about 'not this year' implies he intends to be spending all Christmas with Carla next year
* I was a bit 'meh' about the necklace... I had expected it to be a little more... delicate but I suppose it has to be something bigger so it's obvious to the viewers when Carla's wearing it... (although seriously, if Stella sees it they could just have a shot of her, then a shot of Carla's necklace lol!!)
* Peter's getting to do some of that 'wooing' he was going on about... gorgeous flowers! (But I'm a sucker for anything with lillies in lol)... and clever that he managed to time that delivery for after all the workers have gone home... to stop anyone gossiping

Any ideas for the message he might have written on the card??

Maybe something like "I'll be all yours next christmas" lol!

1st scene:

Michelle: “Oo- is it alright if I go for my lunch at 2 today coz I wanna get my hair done.”

Carla: “Why? Who are you getting yourself glammed up for?”

Michelle: “Erm- it is Christmas, you never know your luck!”

Peter comes out of the shop.

Carla (amused): “You go on ahead, gonna get some chewy.”

Michelle: “Alright.”

Michelle heads off.

Peter: “Hey,”

Carla walks up to Peter, glancing to see Michelle’s out of ear shot before turning back to him.

Carla: “Hey, smoking causes cancer, you know.”

Peter: “Yeah, well, it’s hard to give something up when you’re hooked, isn’t it.” (he smiles at her)

Carla: “Hm…”

Peter: “Hey, listen, I’m gonna do some Christmas shopping today.”

Carla: “Mm-hm.”

Peter: “Anything you want from Santa?”

Carla: “You. To myself. All day Christmas day.”

Peter: “Ah well, I don’t think he can get that on his sleigh. Well, not this year anyway.”

Carla: “I’ll have to take what comes then, won’t I,”

2nd scene:

A woman gets out of a delivery van with a bouquet of flowers. Carla’s locking up the factory and comes down the steps.

Woman: “Mrs Connor?”

Carla: “Uh- yeah, that’s me,”

Woman: “These are for you.”

She signs for them and hands the pen back.

Carla: “There you go, love.”

Woman: “Cheers.”

Peter comes out of the shop across the street. Carla smells the flowers, and then looks at the card with them. She glances up and sees Peter, and they smile at each other.

To be honest, I hated the necklace! It's all dark and Gothic and like something my nan would wear. I was hoping for something a bit more understated and classy. A nice shiny diamond on a silver chain or something like that. And definitely something smaller and 'easier' to wear. And let's be honest, Carla deserves better that. BUT it is still a lovely gesture and looked pretty expensive, soo. I'll put down to a lack of fashion sense/taste and forgive him for it

And the scene with the flowers was just so cute in it's simplicity. I really wish I hadn't read the latest spoilers before I watched the episode though - I'm worried every cute Carter scene between now and then is just gonna be bittersweet and upsetting now we know what's coming.

I really hope Carla and Peter can come through the trial drama and stay together. I think Carla is gonna need him more than ever when it all goes to pot, and if he abandons her I think that could be final straw for Carla. At the moment it's like she's living for two things: To see Frank sent down and to have a future with Peter. If both of those things are taken from her in such a short space of time it's going to be absolutely devastating...

Yes we'll give Peter top marks for effort and as for taste? well... he is a man I'm wondering what the stone in it is actually... looks kinda like an onyx?? My mum said "oh it might be a black sapphire?" lol... I don't know how much Peter earns but still... I'm doubtful!

True. When it all comes out, technically they'll be free to be together - I mean everyone will probably hate them, but y'know. But I just have this horrible feeling that Peter is gonna end up losing them both, that Carla or Peter or both of them will say too much has happened etc and that it wouldn't or can't work I honestly don't know how Carla will cope after this, especially if she loses Peter as well, and whilst I don't think she'd try to kill herself again, anything else I honestly wouldn't like to guess at. I think most people on that street have been hated at some point... it'll pass

They're totally smitten though... I mean it's certainly very obvious I think that Carla's besotted - has she ever seemed so besotted before?

Just the way she is around him... but I think also it helps that she's very understanding about the time he can spare to be with her or not - the fact she isn't putting constant pressure on Peter I think is positive for their developing/future relationship.

And I think it is mutual... the fact Peter even went round to the factory when Michelle was there - stumbling for a valid excuse because he couldn't bear the thought of Carla going away from Christmas... then the 'wooing' he's been doing... if he just saw it as temporary or a fling I can't see he'd make that much effort (especially when he's already got in her pants - to put it bluntly ).

Frank's mum is talking to Carla in Carla's house, asking her to drop the charges/refuse evidence in return for making sure that Frank gives back his share of Underworld. Carla shouts at her to leave then Peter comes out her bedroom. She asks him to be a witness to what just happened in court but they both realise he can't because that would probably damage her case more.

I can think of three rape trials in soaps where they got away with it... I can't remember watching one where they didn't actually which is a shame really if you've been through that in real life it doesn't fill you with much confidence for the justice system.
I agree I don't think Peter has any doubt that Frank DID rape Carla... I know we didn't get to see much when they first slept together but I'm sure there was still some hesitation/anxiety there on Carla's part... and we did see him ask her if she was okay after and her saying what Frank did couldn't stop her having a life...
