BBC Radio Times puts the boot into X Factor
Parneb

.
BBC Radio Times week ending 4th November 2011 page page 52 for Saturday 29th October.

I quote 'The live shows haven't set the world alight yet ( a dramatic fall in viewing figures led to it being dubbed Dud Factor in some quarters). However, there have been accusations of diva-behaviour amongst acts as well as judges, strops over song choices and outfits, alleged meddling by members in categories other than their own and bickering within the manufactured groups. See if you can spot signs of any of these things as the remaining acts perform tonight.

Or you could just concentrate on their singing. which is - allegedly - what this show is all about'.

So, there you have the whole article.

About as professional as the said acts appearing on it.

A wee article on page 52. Whats the point here? Except am guessing your drawing attention to the BBC bit (haven't they auctioned it off now (or are they just planning to?)).

Seems a fair enough critique. Basically saying the show should concentrate on their singing...and not the gimmicks and soap stories...

Basically what critics have been saying for years.
Another non-story

Also isn't that bit of article just the opinion of a critic, and not fact?

Its a journalistic puff piece.

Nothing wrong with it, just someones opinion.

Its also nothing to do with the BBC, who do not own the RT any more, and havent for about 4 months.

I think the BBC has always tried to have a dig at X-Factor at any chance.

Its nothing to do with the BBC, the OP is misleading people.

Yeah not like they took a swipe at Strictly or their other brands like DW when their overnights are poor

That never happened

(as Charlottesweb says though - they don't own the radiotimes, the title is misleading to what in the end is am guessing the tv choice review for XF - which are always in these styles)
Non story.

Considering that the only bickering manufactured group got voted out two weeks ago. I don't think that one will be easy to spot.

That's some pretty terrible journalism right there. The show has never pretended to be 'all about' the singing; the whole point is to find somebody who has that 'spark' beyond the voice. If it were all about the singing, it'd be far less fun to watch.
