It was a great episode...the tension between alfie and andy was incredible...very well done to the eastenders team on that one...and the martin-sarah argument was enjoyable to watch...

It was OK weak in parts, but this episode had to be rewriten because of Jessie and her ill health, but I did think the gary and the miller twins stuff was funny!

I thought tonight was quite enjoyable and funny in parts... Good episode, really.

Liked the Gary haunted house stuff, and Minty and Gary coupling stuff...

Mr Blonde, you are joking aren't you? That was one of the dire episodes of Eastenders I've seen in a long long time. I've never seen such a boring drawn out 30 minutes of twaddle in such a long time. In fact I'm guessing that it was tonights episode that ended up getting Ms Berridge the heave ho.

What actually happened in tonights episode? Sod all.

Andy bullied Alfie again but haven't we seen all that about four months ago with the whole Kat/Alfie/Andy scenario.

Zoe was jealous of Sharon and Dennis - yawn and so badly done, as usual bombastic.

And what the f*** was all that crap with Gary inside the house. Why did the Miller kids break in? Was I actually watching Eastnders tonight or was tonights just a bad bloody dream because it felt like it.

Eastenders doesn't even deserve to have an audience after tonights shambles. Ms Berridge and Ms Heggasy and Mr Young can blame cast illnesses, pregnancies and other mishaps on storylines but they can't blame tonights torrid pile of crap on anyone but themselves.

It wasn't a bad episode overall.. The invasion of Gary's gaff seemed like a bit of a time filler plot though.. The Martin/Sarah scenes were well-written. Her ability to twist things is really unnerving. I found the quiz quite amusing, except when Shannis reared it's orange head and I found myself asking who the hell thinks it's imperative to know what their b/f's favourite action sequence in a film is? The scenes with Mickey, Juley and Kareena were weak.. But the Alfie/Andy clash wasn't a bad touch. I mean, it was only a matter of time before Andy stuck the knife in about Kat's absence.

Agreed KidA, it was a very weak episode. I don't care who had to rewrite what for whatever reason - it stank. If things are really that bad that one actress being absent throws them into this type of tedious idiocy there's no hope. Nothing really happened - yet again - with these (non)storylines they are really taking the piss.

The only ray of light was Jane and Ian, and they were only in it for a few seconds.

Talk about missed opportunities! The soap mags hyped up the quiz night fiasco where Zoe knew nothing about Dennis but what a damp squib that turned out to be. It could all have been very different! There was scope for some really scathing dialogue and Sharon could have made a real exhibition of the dopey Zoe. Dennis could have really come into his own and the whole scenario could have been massively explosive. Let's have less of these watered down snapshots and more well written drama please.

It was quite a boring episode in my opinion, although i did laugh when Garry was watching that film and saw the shadows and went exploring, it was all just so stupid it was funny.

Well in fairness its not in Sharon's nature to make an exhibition of anyone apart from herself, what happens to her hair when she gets a few on her? The hair gets drunk with her! lol I actually thought tonights EastEnders wasn't bad. It was enjoyable, I thought the Gary's gaff thing was quite funny, and Minty and Gary in the Vic was good aswell. You lot are so miserable! God they actually did funny quite well tonight. Mixed with the very clever writing of Sarah and Martin. The way she twisted things for Martin tonight was very clever "you feel guilty" I didnt' see that coming, well done.

KidA you must be one of the ones who does want to wallow in misery with every episode? I for one enjoy the odd light heartedness on EastEnders, granted they don't do it very well a lot of the times but tonight was quite good.

I will say this though, I'm heartily sick of Andy jibing Alfie in every episode, just knock him auuut! Alfie! lol

Was disappointed with the quiz as well. Was hyped up a lot more, and after Zoe was such a bitch earlier, I would have loved Sharon to lay into her.
Any one else notice Dennis' spelling mistake: "Rageing Bull"?

Clearly you didn't actually watch it all then. Gary upset the Miller kids in the cafe by calling Demi "Dummy", so they decided to get revenge.

I've noticed that! She looks like a scarecrow thats been stuck in a windtunnel after a few bevvies. And is it me, or is she turning a strange colour?

Im sick of all this Andy / Alfie stuff, but I liked the bit where the thing on the stairs came off in Gary's hand, and then the doorknob. A little bit of light-heartedness is good once in a while.

I actually enjoyed EE tonight I was laughing, bless Gary! Also, Gary and Minty...The "couple" of the square...HAHAHA!

They did over hype the Zoe thing and Sharon should have laid into her, but she isn't balshy so she didn't. Get rid of Zoe! Imo, she is worst than Spencer! Let them fall in love and bugger off into the sunset!

One thing I didn't like....Demi and her Bulge. From the sheer size of it I would think the baby is due any day! Yet she is ok to run around like a toddler with no consequences? I have never been pregnant but my mum said she wouldn't be able to run around like that!

But it wasn't good comedy was it. It was bombastic and cliched and just plain dull. I couldn't give a stuff about The Millers children who are just another couple of juvinile nobodies which we've seen countless times in Albert Square. As for Gary, is there a point to him anymore. And maybe I wasn't paying attention, but I was absolutely gobsmacked with how f***** awful the show was. It was an episode full of storylines going around and around in circles as per usual and what the hell happened with Ian, one moment he's out in the park with Jane and then next moment he's rushing onto a plane to see his Mother and we don't even know why. And what happened to Peter & Lucy? (Or again, was I not paying attention) And by the look on Nigel Harmans face during last nights episode, he wasn't acting, in fact I was sure he was thinking to himself 'what the hell am I doing in this sinking ship'.

Andy Billy, Minty, Gary, - YAWN YAWN YAWN YAWN

Storylines -YAWN YAWN YAWN YAWN

It's virtually October folks. This is the time for the soaps to be drawing their big guns and lining up some fantastic storylines. But oh no, Berridge draws out 30 minutes of prime time telly with a Mr & Mrs Quiz Night.

I obviously am alone in my opinion but I stil find it amazing that a programme which has already plumbed the depths can sink even lower.
