Wonder what the public are thinking regarding voting?

I always wonder about this nobody knows who is doing well in the voting and where they are placed.each week or who is topping the vote.

For example an newspaper said Wagner was topping the votes and yet he nearly went out in the first 3 weeks.

The most reliable newspaper for leaks is the Daily Star believe it or not.

I really think Craig is doing well in the public voting.

What is your reason for thinking that?

I would say that Misha, The Risk and Janet have been topping the voting. I think Marcus is a lot higher up there than people would expect, whereas I'd say Craig is creeping towards the bottom and has probably been getting a lot less votes than you'd expect...same for Sophie. I'd say Johnny, Frankie, Rythmix and Kitty are the ones at the bottom.

I don't know if youtube stats are very important but they are pretty interesting.

Live Show 1

Craig - 925,534
Janet - 676,624
Misha - 667,644
Sophie - 508,363
Amelia - 448,909
Marcus - 390,034
Frankie - 357,508
Rhythmix - 327,491
The Risk - 296,162
Kitty - 281,118
Johnny - 217,050
Nu Vibe - 193,357
James - 192,323
Sami - 190,216
Jonjo - 149,738
2 Shoes - 149,586

Live Show 2

Janet - 483,210
Sophie - 322,660
Rhythmix - 252,936
The Risk - 233,797
Misha - 218,033
Craig - 202,854
Kitty - 201,933
Frankie - 156,924
Sami - 152,658
Johnny - 139,104
Marcus - 138,443
Nu Vibe - 116,753

Live Show 3

Janet - 259,941
Sophie - 169,329
Misha - 166,271
Johnny - 148,555
Frankie - 138,505
Marcus - 120,450
Craig - 104,882
Kitty - 102,002
Rhythmix - 97,956
The Risk - 94,283
Sami - 78,307

In the first live show they were spot on but it didn't matter because the judges were making their decisions. And of course it has been some time since then but I remember back then that they were pretty low for the ones that left.

Usually they predict the one that leaves the competition but not the bottom 2. I do believe they make some good points though.. And it is pretty obvious that this year they depend a lot on the song choice.

I think the viewers love Sophie and people vote for her. What's happening with Craig though is weird... I don't think The Risk is that high on the voting though. I believe that most people are pretty sure that they are safe so they vote for other acts instead..

What stats are they exactly? Are they the number of views of the official X-Factor video? If so, at what point did you record them?

They are the views of the videos that last about two minutes of the X factor channel. I just saw them a while ago but i think the order was pretty much the same for previous weeks also.

I always look at them from the moment they release the videos. Of course youtube is for worldwide audience but I think it gives u an idea of who the most famous acts are each week. But not all of these people can vote of course. It's interesting that they can find the act that is leaving though.

Pretty much this I'd guess. Marcus would be higher than Craig, Sophie lower than DS members expect, with Johnny, Frankie, Rhythmix and Kitty near the bottom.

I suppose Kitty can expect a bounce vote maybe and that Johnny might have earned some votes with this performance last week, thereby making them safe for now, which logically leaves Rhythmix and Frankie bottom two.

It's difficult to say before seeing their performances this week, since that will influence voters. But it's as good a guesstimate as I can make right now.

He was in the bottom 2 in the first week of voting and near the bottom in week 2 of voting!

Oh, okay. I find this quite encouraging actually.

I often wondered if people vote for "the show-stopper" on the night but would never bother to listen to it again.

What it means to me is that the finalists will also have lots of views and therefore will be the ones who are more likely to sell albums.

Make sense?

Sofabet had a really good article re running order & previous weeks voting last year; if they are following the same pattern MB did v well in the first public vote.
