![]() Also, With Ur Love's descent down the iTunes chart is getting to the point where I almost want to laugh, it's down to #10! Honestly don't know how this happens. On the other hand though, as long as it lasts longer than 5 weeks in the Top 40 it'll have done better than Swagger Jagger, at least.

Just a couple of my modules that are giving me a bit of a headache atm but should be fine in the end. What about you? ![]() Anyway, to stay on topic, looks like the Cher fans who previously stuck the boot into Cardle may be tucking in to some humble pie come Sunday. :/ |

Strange thing is the album has been £3.99 on amazon so if people are buying 3 or 4 songs instead of the album they're paying as much as if they bought the album ![]() its all money in the coffers one way or another

I just read the Wanted have been slagging off Cher again. Funny time for them to be having a go, on the same day that she overtakes them in the charts.
http://uk.omg.yahoo.com/gossip/110--...155927204.html Also I see they are calling her bland, they really are in no position to accuse anyone else of being bland especially Cher, She's a thousand times more interesting than they are. |

Hey all, I've listened to the album now, so I thought I'd do a little review of it to give the impression I know what I'm talking about lol. I'll do it track by track and say what rating I gave each song on my iTunes, though a general theme would be that imo Cher isn't the best rapper in the world - there are some lines that I like and her lyrics do flow well sometimes but on the whole I don't like the rapping too much. Tbf though that hasn't stopped Pitbull from topping the charts.
![]() Grow Up - I get the feeling this could be a grower, I'll need to listen to it several times just to get Busta Rhymes' verse, 'cause believe it or not, it's not in the lyric book! It literally says "BUSTA RHYMES RAP", like they're saying "You'll just have to figure it out for yourself trololololol". I did find that funny admittedly. It is catchy though, Cher's rap here is stronger than on other tracks and the singing is nice and quirky too. It could be a good third single if people don't consider Cher's verse to be too off-putting. 4/5Want U Back - I like this song quite a bit actually, I couldn't help but smile as I listened to it. It's just a fun song and I like it lyrically too. Cher also sounds good on it. I reckon this could be quite a hit if it was the next single, definitely radio-friendly and the most viable as a single imo. 4/5With Ur Love - I've talked about this song before but in short, I like it. Just so uplifting, as Cher calls it. I can take or leave Posner's verse but I'll let him off for now. 4/5Swagger Jagger - Again, stated my opinion on this track before - Lyrically, not great, but I love the production, when you hear that siren noise you think "Sh**'s going down!" Definitely a rousing song one way or another. 3/5Beautiful People - I can only imagine it's someone's twisted sense of humour that made them put this track after Swagger Jagger on the album. I like it though, good song from Carolina Liar and Cher does well on it, especially at the end. Aaaaaaah. My only complaint is the second verse, where they're singing together but Chad's voice seems to overshadow Cher's slightly. Still like it a lot though, and it's the song Cher sounds best on imo, so 5/5 for now.(continued) |

Playa Boi - Not too big a fan of this song, one of the lyrically weaker ones imo. The sample's nice though, if there was more singing instead of rapping/talking I might like it more, but as it stands, it's okay not quite my cup of tea. 3/5
Superhero - I still like this track, I remember seeing a review or something say that Superhero is just filler, but I beg to differ. I like the lyrics and I love how quirky it is too, sounding like it samples The Sims at times. That, along with the theme of the song, adds to the naive and innocent feel of the song. Not too big a fan of the rap section apart from a couple of lines, and the vocals sound too blocked out at times, but overall I think it's a good and unique song, and a good potential single too. 4/5Over The Moon - One of my least favourites, I'm afraid. The production in the verses annoys me and the rapping isn't too strong imo, though I do like the singing parts much more, and it's nice that it's a happy song too. 3/5 for now.Dub On The Track - Possibly one of my favourites actually. Of course the guest rappers kill it on here, but this also has some of Cher's stronger rapping in my opinion, which becomes even nicer since it's fused with a bit of singing. ("Easily-y-yy-y-y-yy-yy") The background singing at the start sounds cool as well, and the production's nice dubstep, too. Sorry Skream, but I have to disagree with you. 4/5End Up Here - I like the fact that this is the track Cher had the biggest part in writing. (I'd love to think that Cher wrote all of it but the cynical side of me says Jukebox may have written some too on top of producing it ) There's a hint of Skylar Grey in there which is interesting, so could potentially be a decent single. Some of the lyrics sound odd and could take some getting used to, but overall, not bad at all for something she wrote herself. 4/5On the whole, this may not be my favourite album ever (I feel a couple of tracks could've had more time spent on improving them and Cher's rapping is hit and miss imo, though she could improve in the future), but I can imagine there being something addictive about it where I keep coming back to it trying to work out what some of the lyrics are meant to mean. Plus, I tend to be quite a critical person when it comes to music, so many people could well appreciate this album more than I do. Having said that, there are only 3 songs that I gave 3 stars to and even they have redeeming qualities so I still wouldn't skip them (which is the important thing, I guess), if people are interested in getting this album I would recommend it to them just 'cause they'll never know when they could be pleasantly surprised by it. Whether it'll be a grower or a shrinker overtime remains to be seen but for now I like it. I'd give it 3.5/5, just bubbling under 4 stars. ![]() P.S. I've added Stay onto the end of the album but I didn't include it here as it would skew the album a bit lol.

Based on the last couple of posts, though, it's worth mentioning: give me Cher's album over The Wanted's anyday. All those songs with most of them likely about girls? No thanks.

also agree, its one of my faves. Not far from my thinking overall Nelson, Over the Moon is my least favourite, it's my skip track tbh.
With a couple more tracks (i keep harping on about it) it could have been a great album. |

![]() I can see why Talkin' That wasn't on the album though, imo it's inferior to everything that's on the album. That would've been a skip track for me, whereas nothing on the album is.

![]() As far as Stay is concerned, I added it to the album as an 11th track anyway since it technically came with the pre-order, so I don't have that problem. ![]()
