Decent Star Wars comics
Other than "Star Wars tales" which was a great series, are there any other Star Wars comics that are worth reading?

Try the legacy series, the Republic (Clone Wars era) series (particularly the stuff written by John Ostrander). Also try the Knights of the Old Republic series. From the older stuff the Crimson Empire and Rogue squadron comics were good, a new 6 issues of Crimson Empire is coming out along with another 6 issues of Knights of the Old Republic.

All of the Archie Goodwin and Al Williamson newspaper strip stuff. Dark Horse released them as Classic Star Wars, and it made up 3 great graphic novel collections, though I have the comics!
Also from the DH classics is the wonderful Russ Manning stuff, where, incidentally, Boba Fett made his first appearance in comic form! Shadows of the Empire is really good. The Rebellion and Empire collections are good too. The Omnibus edition that are being released are amazing. One volume left to release of the full Marvel Comics output, which I'm really loving, and much more, especially Early Victories which includes the great Vaders Quest and River of Chaos, if you don't have 'em already these books are a bargain. I love the Droids stuff too. |
