I've said this a few times already and I really, really can see this happening and I've said it from day one. There's something about him. He's not got an incredible voice, but he's got a very, very good voice and I definitely don't think we've seen the best of him yet, which is a very good thing! He's reminding me of Alexandra's journey, where she was good every week, but then there came a point where she improved week on week until we eventually got a picture of what sort of artist she'd be. She then remained consistent and smashed it in the last few weeks. He's also coming across as a really nice, decent guy and most importantly, he has a personality, which judging by past successful XF acts, the public want someone with a personality. I really enjoy watching him and as I see more of him, I think he could be molded into a really good pop star. I think he's different to other male winners. We all know what happened with Steve Brookstein! Then there's Leon and Joe, who although were both really good singers, I think the issue with them was that it was never obvious during the show what kind of artist they were. With Leona for example, you knew when watching her on XF the kind of artist she would be if she won...same with Alexandra. I also think there's a gap in the market for a male popstar like Marcus. I think in the next year or so, pop as it used to be is going to make a return in some form or another. I mean, Steps have just almost sold out a tour and have had their greatest hits album go to number one! Dance music is slowly turning very "poppy". Music is on the change definitely. I do think the novelty of Janet and Misha will wear off in the coming weeks. I don't like an act who becomes boring, and for me Marcus is offering something different each week. Just my opinion, but I think he'll be the winner.

Well I hope you didn't bet too much on Marcus as he hasn't a hope in hells chance of winning.

Just curious but, who do you think will win?

Once Frankie's gone, I can see Gary focusing on Marcus and Marcus starting to shine, and weirdly, I can even picture him winning quite clearly in my mind!

I watched Deal or No Deal a few times until I got bored with it.

I was always amused by the people who "got a feeling" about what the next box contained. They were right or wrong by exactly the amount dictated by pure chance.

It's one of gambling's many fallacies. Glad I don't gamble.

Having said that, I always enjoy Marcus' performances but I don't vote for him.

He won't even make the top 3, I reckon he'll be 4th or 5th.

There's a little more to predicting an X Factor winner than opening random boxes. People who've invested many hours in the show can get a return by intelligently analysing the likely outcomes. I am sure this is what the OP has done.

MARCUS is nailed on to be top boy.
If he gets to the final anything could happen.
I also believe that unless the producers scupper him, he has a serious chance of winning.

Hmm, both Janet and Misha seem divisive, fanbase wise, and the Risk seem to be faltering. I can see Marcus slowly creeping up on them as things progress. Granted, it's all just speculation and only time will tell.

Still, I'm kinda glad there's no clear winner right now, makes things more interesting.

I reckon he's the dark horse in the competition.

(And no SAFIAH that isn't a reference to his race before you start).

I do think everyone is getting ahead of themselves with Marcus He has been my favourite since bootcamp (where I saw all the talent together in one show), but I feel threads like these are tempting fate

Lets just take it a week at a time OK?

He'll finish 4th or 5th and then hopefully go back to hairdressing and we'll never hear of him again;

I'd really rather he didn't win.

I think he could make top 4, no problem - he can sing, dance and is really likeable. The thing that bothers me is his song choices have not been so good or quite risky -whilst certain others get quite 'safe' options so I hope there are some better choices in the next few weeks.

He can definitely get to the final.
Im looking foward to see what he does this week because he is doing a mash up which will be intresting.

Too paije Richardson, safe singer with reasonable voice, kept safe by joke acts and fodder. I'd say he's going about week 6 or 7.

I actually think Sophie's more of the Paije type this season, whereas Marcus is more of the Rebecca. And if Matt wasn't on last season, Rebecca most likely would have won.

I'd say bad mentoring hindered Rebecca's chances a lot more than Matt did.

I'm not totally convinced but he is playing the game quite well by not peaking too soon. His rock week performance was the best yet. It worked for Alexandra and Joe..

Well he survived the death slot, so he must be popular

I think he's the dark horse this year. He'll be the last standing Boy anyway.
