iPhone iOS 5 and Ford Bluetooth Issues
Just to let you know that Ford have released an update that you can apply through the USB Socket in your car.
I've tried it on my 2011 Fiesta Titanuim, and everything works as it should, signal bars are now back on the dashboard display. Audio over Bluetooth now has track title etc. http://www.ford-mobile-connectivity....wnloadsUpdates Info courtesy of https://discussions.apple.com/thread...t=180&tstart=0 |

iOS 5 Bluetooth problem - Renault Megane Coupe
I have a similar problem with my 59 plate Renault Megane Coupe. The bluetooth worked absolutely fine before and now i've update to iOS 5 on both my iPhone 4 and iPad 2, I get a problem where when I try to skip songs it takes 5 seconds to respond to the command and I can not skip backwards.
It's not the end of the world but it's really annoying when you're trying to find a song. Skip.wait wait wait wait wait New song! Not the one I want... skip wait wait wait wait wait. New song! It's the same whether i connect to my itunes on the phone or ipad. Hopefully an update will arrive soon as it must be effecting thousands and thousands of people. In the mean time I contact Renault and see if they are even aware of the problem. |

Is it just in-car Bluetooth systems that have had a problem? My Sony Ericsson Bluetooth headphones work perfectly. Did the car manufacturers not implement the standards correctly or were they lagging slightly behind on an older specification?

It's also not all in-car bluetooth. I have a Parrot bluetooth handsfree system wired into my car - streaming over bluetooth responds instantly still, and never needed an update for iOS5.
