I agree. But the truth is, in the real world, if you drop your phone it's pretty much chance whether it breaks or not. One of my friends dropped his iPhone 4 from a bedside table to a laminated floor and cracked the back. Another dropped their iPhone on a stone floor and cracked the back. A remember reading on here a few weeks ago about someone who let a remote control slip from a chair arm to a chair cushion, where his Galaxy S2 was resting. It cracked the screen. I was at a party on Saturday and a friend was showing off his Galaxy S2. He had only had it a week, but had dropped it and cracked the corner of the screen.
Most phones are pretty fragile when they're dropped, unfortunately.
Does the iPhone 4/4S definitely not use Gorilla Glass? I know it was recently confirmed that the forthcoming Nexus Prime doesn't.
