Best - so many to choose from. Stereophonics - Handbags and Gladrags is the one i listen to most at the moment.

Worst - again so many to choose from. Kylie Minogue - Can't Get You Out Of My Head was terrible. Atomic Kitten are well up there on the list. Purple Pills by D12 was dire aswell. Geri Halliwell - Raining Men was horrible. the list goes on but it is only personal taste of course

But most underrated song of 2001: Zero 7 - Destiny

Best of 2001: Prefab Sprout - I'm A Troubled Man or Ash -Shining Light or Mercury Rev - A Drop In Time or Outkast - Ms Jackson

Worst: Atomic Kitten - Eternal Flame or anything by Dido, Nelly Furtado or Robbie Williams or Hear'say or Geri Halliwell!!!

Worst of 2002: I can confidently predict -the song released by the nations POP IDOL - unless that nice Brummie lass or the Welsh girl wins, except I'm sure they won't as the best singers seem to get voted off every week as thousands of schoolgirls vote for that irritating **** Darius or that boy band drip with the stutter.

I get the feeling you don't like Westlife SuperNova

Best
Linkin Park have been very impressive this year, Wheatus - Teenage Dirtbag and Respect (i think that's what it's called) were good plus many more that I can't think of right now.

Worst
Definitely Starlight by Superman Lovers, Greg Haskill (christmas Number 2) and Murder on the Dancefloor by Sophie Ellis Bextor. All the above make me turn over station/channel or change pub

I know that its all a matter of opinion and taste but for me:

BEST: Feeder - Just a Day
(The amount of air guitarin’ I've done to that )

WORST: Afroman - Because I got high

(Yeah the words are funny but it’s not singing in my opinion)

Regards
Mc

My best song of 2001 was Train - Drops Of Jupiter and anything by a band called Live (they are a bit in the Led Zepplin mould very good).

Worst of 2001 was anything by Hearsay, Geri Halliwell, D12, Atomic Kitten, Westlife and any other pop shite that made it into the top ten.

Walking Away by Craig David was actually released in 2000, but I totally agree with Warp Brothers being worst, as I said at the start.

best stuff:
loads of stuff this year - but by bands
super furry animals, new order, soulwax (all the net-released re-mixes), beta band, air's new album - what a cracking demonstraightion of music - and when it comes out this year (though i actually got the new album last year) the chemical bros album...

worst:
nething with Linkin Park involved, particually papercut,
nething with d12 attached to it - so as 'thats s*ite music',
and pop in general - was worse this year i felt - which only made the music i listen to better....

good year for music i felt - the 90's has pushed out some great music - very good the introduction of computers - one of only 3 industries that has truely benifitted from technoligical advancements...

What on earth does "nething" mean? Is that from the verb to neth?

Oh dear...stop picking on him!

The best song of 2001 IMO was Riva ft Danni Minougue - Who Do You Love Now (Stringer).

Micksea, it,s good to see someone else who likes +Live+ I have loved them for years, it always used to frustrate me the lack of success they have had over here when you see all the crap hittin the charts, but it does have it's advantages- I saw them in Manchester with a few 100 others rather than the 1000's who like them in the U.S. who would love to see them that close! They are more influenced by REM than Led Zep though!
