I'm not aware of the full context to this, but if she is becoming a regular writer on any one of the soaps, the decent thing would be to quit her role as soap critic and commentator in the interests of impartiality, right?
If she's just doing a one-off episode and Eastenders have accepted to humour her, fair enough, but she's putting her full-time employment at risk by - intentionally or unintentionally - showing a bias towards one soap over the others. She must be aware of this.
It does explain why she got so tetchy weeks ago when a few of us pointed out that she was quite unenthusiastic about that week's Emmerdale on her This Morning segment - to the point that she had our posts removed.
I would also add that, if this just a one-off for the time being, it is most likely with a view to it becoming something more permanent. It reminds me of Daran Little's ascension from archivist to writer on Coronation Street - the obvious difference being that he was only involved with/interested in the one show (at least up until that time), so impartiality was never a question in his case.
