Thank goodness nobody was wearing a poppy. It does my head in when people wear them from they first appear in the shops until the last gasp.
It would have looked so inappropriate to wear them with those costumes, and I think the week of Remembrance Sunday is time enough.
I am very against the notion of making people wear a poppy. Not everyone wants to, and I thought people died to make this a free country. In Northern Ireland, however, due to the prejudice of certain numpties, I feel iffy about wearing my poppy in the streets, because it is seen as a "loyalist symbol". *rolls eyes*.
