the water on the drums...

...during Craig's performance was more interesting than his vocals.

And the cameraman knew it!

Im no fan of Craig , dont really rate him but that was one of the best performances of the series from him tonight.

I agree with you though on the drums that was quite facinating.

The drums were the highlight of the night.

Suprisingly that stands out to me most from the show as well. It was a great visual. (would rather Sophie to have had the song)

Anything that distracts me from his affected-singing-out-the-side-of-his-face habit is a good thing

Being a pedant, it was not water on the drums.

Agreed, Craig's was the second worst performance of the night for me. Vocally it was dull too, I felt like he held back.

He's the strongest singer this year but I get the feeling he'll never get a judges standing ovation. He never really goes for it. A bit supeficial.

This'll explain why Craig was dressed in that tunic coat, slightly unbuttoned at the top. He looked like a frantic bandsman, all hot and bothered after racing round searching for where he'd left his tuba. The drummers were playing their intro and he was forced to improvise, so sang instead.

Same, it's brilliant. I also got picked from the audience to do a bit on stage which, as someone who hates the spotlight, was pretty terrifying .

I was expecting to hear the opening words to "roll out the barrel" when he appeared on stage. That jacket made him look twice as big as he is. He made Jabba the Hutt look like a size zero. And his voice ain't half as good as the judges maintain it is.

Those drums are what prevented me turning off during his dirge.
