McDonald's Breakfast Wrap
I hadn't realised these had only gone nationwide recently- we were the guinea pigs in Manchester so have had them ages, I only had one once back in March it was ok but I prefer sausage and egg mcmuffins. What do other people think of them?

I haven't had one and probably won't because i'm not usually up early enough but I was slightly annoyed at the advert.
They seem to think they've invented the greatest thing since sliced bread. |

Made me laugh, I though the breakfast wrap was going to be something new but it's just the same old McD breakfast fare in (you've guessed it) a wrap!

Their definition of a potato rosti is slightly different to mine.

McDonald's should to an 'all day' breakfast. I'm sure their sausage, bacon and egg McMuffins would sell throughout the day. Sometimes that's all you fancy as opposed to a burger with which it often ends up 'cheaper' to buy it with fries and a drink.

Agreed. I would buy a McMuffin at other times in the day and maybe a hash brown too.

Same here. I think their breakfast menu is much more appealing than some of the other things they sell. However I'm sure I read on another thread somewhere that that there are different cooking processes involved which means that they can't do the two menus at the same time. I couldn't quite understand that but maybe someone who works for McD's could explain?

I quite fancy it... I keep passing an advert for it whenever I'm on the bus, and I always think "hmm, that looks tasty..."
No wonder I've got a blooming muffin top

Seen one and it didn't look very nice. I don't like their 'eggs' they're very rubbery, not a texture I like.
Plus, the thing is 595 calories ![]() Maybe a good start to the day if you're doing heavy manual labour but for those of us who are static at a desk this could be a bit of bad move

McDonalds do good breakfasts, but Burger King is better at all other times. I think it's the texture. McDonalds seems to get a consistant texture across everything, from the bun to the burger and the gherkin. In a Burger King, they all seem to have different textures.

![]() brown like you do with the other breakfast meals. Would prefer it to be a bread roll, the wrap is not really that filling. Can't imagine many people have time to go to McDonalds on the way to work, its more a day out thing when you need a good filling breakfast to set you up for the day. |

I don't think it looks good to be honest, and I'm quite a fan of McD's breakfast.
I usually have one if I'm off work and have to be up early for some other reason (usually like twice a year!) I usually go for the sausage, egg and cheese bagel and it's bloody lovely. I don't even want to know what the calories are! McD's also do 'breakfast' style coffee, IMO. I like a stronger coffee later in the day but at that time of the morning a McD's latte hits the spot. |

And I wonder how many decent little cafes doing tasty breakfast things are approaching closure as the McSlaves stagger like zombies towards a corporate soulless start to the day..................
