You will have to bear with me and hope i don't bore the pants of you

I am currently using an iphone 3gs (yes maybe out of date lol) as it was my sons, and i got him another phone, so i use my sim in it and don't use the data etc, but where i live the reception is rubbish, so the phone is due an upgrade, but as i said the sim will be staying in the phone my son has.

So i need a phone for my o2 sim, that is just calls and text, i like the iphone for touch and ease of use, and mp3 etc, so need advice on what phone would be similar, that i can put any o2 sim in, obviously want something modern and if it has the data that i can switch off or only connect via my router.

I don't want a tiny screen, as above iphone similar would be good, i think the bad reception is also due to thick stone walls where i live, but other phones we have are ok, so really it is advice on phones on the o2 website, i am currently paying £36 i think it is 900 minutes plus texts and free o2 calls, so no more and would not matter if less as i never use the quota, thanks for any help

Buy one of these on pay as you go:
http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phones/P...System/windows

And transfer your number from O2 to giffgaff. It runs on the O2 network, is a sister company of O2. For the same minutes/texts you can get from O2 you can get similar from giffgaff but plus unlimited data too.

You can also get these on contract from O2

To be honest i don't want to be moving from o2, and not buying an expensive phone when i am due a "free" upgrade, looked at them and the main things about them seem to be the internet, which i am not to bothered about.

As i said i would be pretty happy to get something like the iphone but better reception, as at the moment i end up ringing people back on the landline

Thanks for suggestions

Well you said you want touch-screen phones which these are and something good for music and these are great for music. So I don't see the problem.

Otherwise, if you really want an iPhone...just get an iPhone?

I have an iphone, and the problem is why should i pay up to £350 and go to pay and go, even the contract phones for what i am receiving now are more expensive.

I have an iphone and the problem is crap reception, maybe my original post was not as clear as i thought?, so again thanks for your help.
