....could curdle milk!

Sorry, Brian, but it's just good manners to raise a smile even if you are a *snigger snigger* rock legend...

What's the matter with the miserable old git?

He has smiled lots of times! Do you have a perpetual smile on your face?

He is not Brian Cox, who has a permanent

I get the impression he doesn't like Strictly but feels he has to turn up for Anita. If I was there in that situation, I'd look grumpy too. Especially after they wrecked 'I Want It All' last week with dreadful singing and an insipid dance.

hands off Brian May and, in the rock world, he is a legend. He's never been known for being smiley smiley (but certainly not the worst for that in Queen).

Maybe he just isn't comfortable with SCD but goes to support his wife.

It's probably just his expression. I always laugh at the people who only start beaming when they see the red light on the camera that's in their face.

Queen (the entire band) is truly a rock legend, why the sniggers? They have an amazing back catalogue! Maybe it's just not to your taste?

He never showed any emotion on stage, his face was always the same. He looks totally bemused by the whole thing and I think he's very embarrassed about his wifes involvement. He's always been a very private person and she was too until her Stricly brain-transplant!

He's Brian May - he can do whatever he likes

He IS a rock legend. I was lucky enough to see him live.

I suspect he is nervous for Anita because he knows how much the nerves get to her.

Are we really so desperate for conversation topics that we have to slag off the audience now?

I'm not desperate for a convo.

BUT I do think he could raise a smile. It's only polite. Full-on, insincere beams aren't smiles and I'm not fond of those. But he seems so ungracious.

Bohemian Rhapsody (possibly best chart single EVAH) wouldn't be the same without his guitar break but (not being controversial) Queen was really all about Freddie Mercury if we're brutally honest.

I think May looks a grouch and I'm sticking to it.

Who cares? Some might think he's 'a legend', although what constitutes a 'legend' in this country always seems to be some ancient old geezer who played bad rock, crap football or whatever, but is now well past it.

Queen is for screaming lout football fans and people who can't hear music and think lyrics are a waste of space. Awful, turgid band.

Queen is over and May is retired. Deal with it. And yes, he is grumpy. If I looked that bad I'd be livid!

Oh, sofakat, you did make me laugh!

I'm glad I started this. It was worth it.

Legend/crap/lout/turgid/livid!

He hasn't aged well, has he?

Oooooh! :shakes fist:

That's DR Brian May plzkthx

He is my absolute hero By all accounts (I'vee yet to meet him) he is a kind, funny, intense and very shy chap. I notice he doesn't sit in the front row and probably wants to hide away mst of the time. Especially when the band are murdering one of his own songs...

(Queen were not 'just' Freddie Mercury. All four of them wrote their share smash hit songs.)

Twenty years after they stole the show at the original Live Aid concert, and 14 years after the death of Freddie Mercury, Queen have been crowned the most popular UK band of all time.
The group, currently on a critically acclaimed comeback tour with former Free singer Paul Rodgers taking on vocal duties, have overtaken the Beatles and Elvis Presley as the artists who have spent the longest time on the British album charts.

According to the compilers of the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles and Albums, Queen have spent 1,322 weeks on the chart, compared with the Beatles' 1,293 weeks.

When any of you are anyway as near successful as this, you can be as grumpy as you dam well please

He's just trying to keep a low profile. Anita's not playing look who my hubby is unlike Dr Pammy and her hubby.

He certainly smiled when he was on the One Show! He was on to talk about the culling of badgers, but Rory was on with him, so the subject of Strictly came up and Matt asked Brian what it was like at home with Anita taking part and he replied "It's hell!" Then the three of them went on to list all the things they were going through (fake tan, etc.)! He did say she was loving every minute and was genuinely pleased for her!

They're both known for their funny curly hair... I have an image of them brushing their hair to build up a bit of charge and rushing to embrace each other, to be jolted across the room in a blue flash when their locks meet.

OMG the image of the hairastrophe!

They are a funny couple. She strikes me as being very intense too. I just think, as he's bothered to turn up, why not just give it a faint smile?

C'mon, Brian. Or is it constipation?

Its 26 years since Live Aid, and this year is the 20th anniversary of Freddie's death

It's obviously c&p, the tour with PR was ages ago. He toured with Kerry Ellis this year. (It was amazing, if anyone cares.)
