That's DR Brian May plzkthx

He is my absolute hero By all accounts (I'vee yet to meet him) he is a kind, funny, intense and very shy chap. I notice he doesn't sit in the front row and probably wants to hide away mst of the time. Especially when the band are murdering one of his own songs...

(Queen were not 'just' Freddie Mercury. All four of them wrote their share smash hit songs.)”

I've had that honour Tabitha. Many years ago when Queen were at the height of their fame. Everything you've heard is true, and I would add super-intelligent to the list, and genuinely interested in what others think.

^^^ This! I completely agree with both statements there!

He's there to support his wife and probably isn't interested in getting the limelight here. I don't know Brian May and can't speak for him but I would imagine he feels that Strictly is about Anita, not him.

Sorry, Brian, but it's just good manners to raise a smile even if you are a *snigger snigger* rock legend...

What's the matter with the miserable old git?”

We are all allowed to have opinions
But, really, I have seen him smile

That's OK sofakat, I've seen what you think constitutes artistic merit and I'm rather pleased you think Queen are rubbish

Queen is over and May is retired. Deal with it. And yes, he is grumpy. If I looked that bad I'd be livid! ”

May is retired ? You know nothing

He sure wasn't retired last year at the Prince's Trust Gala. Or when he played the Albert Hall.

Do people want him gurning away on Strictly every week? His face looks just fine to me.

Brian May is too clever and too cool for school to like something as showbiz as Strictly. I guess he has to be there because his missus is in it.

Brian is a top man, besides, his missus does enough grinning for both of them.

He's missed some events for We Will Rock You that he would normally have been there for so clearly is dedicated to Anita. He's also heavily involved in auditioning for that show and, as such, probably sees a lot more real dancing and singing talent in a year than anyone on any TV talent show. He then has to watch people clumping around and listen to singers killing songs, including his songs.
