I don't like them at all, but on the other hand I do welcome the new lack of "OH MY GOD, MATT TOLD ALIONA TO NOT SWEAR, THAT MEANS THEY HATE ONE ANOTHER!" and similar that used to get extrapolated out to mania from 20 seconds of cobbled-together footage.

Perhaps it's not a bad thing, people can go to loo, get their sandwich done, clear the rubbish bin etc.. when the VTs are on.

Um, if that's done, not only will your sandwich calorie count go through the roof, but I fear for your water bill if your water's metered - even a small flush on the loo X 20 VTs per show X 14 weeks of Strictly - now multiply that by the 10 million or so who watch Strictly in preference to X-Factor and you get ....

a very serious lowering of the water table in your area.

Thus either
1 - the Green Party will start calling for Strictly to be banned from mainstream TV on account of not being ecological, or
2 - there will be a new water tax added to your TV licence coming your way soon.
