This forum seems totally dead so I imagine this will go unread but ... Lauren has recently released her album, Wildflower and it is great. Here are a couple of tracks from it performed live by Lauren and her band:

Title track - Wildflower

Really catchy melody and nice chords, with some trademark soaring notes.

The Funny Thing About Love

Another really catchy number with some great vocal melodies

Georgia Peaches - second single

A pop country number with great fun lyrics and a playful vibe - again, some great vocals from Lauren.

Nice stripped back versions of Like My Mother Does and If I Die Young:

Lauren is seriously talented - more than I think she even realises. There is so much purity to her notes - she doesn't even come close to a sharp / flat note in all of the above songs, and you can see that her confidence and stage presence has also improved since idol.

Lauren fans will like this anyway!

Loved Lauren on the show agree about the pure voice - it's so natural to her. She doesn't do dodgy notes. Will have to listen to the album.

The people who run this forum have ruined the Idol forum. I bet not many people can find it now.

I love LA's album wildflower! it's really good, not as good as Carrie Underwoods debut album but definitely in the same league

i love Lauren Alaina, thought she was robbed.

Amen to that .. it's really quiet in here.

Glad there are a few other Lauren fans though! I've been a musician for many years and singers like her don't come along that often. It's actually scary how good she is at age 17 (maybe 18 now?). She totally held her own when duetting with both Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride which is no mean feat, and she is getting better all the time. A total natural talent.

Here are a few more nice tracks you might like -

Tupelo - great acapella intro and a really uplifting mid-tempo track. Lauren's band sound great here to.

Dirt Road Prayer - a nice tender ballad showing a softer side to Lauren's voice.

The whole Wallmart Soundcheck show is worth watching. It reminded me a bit of when Kelly Clarkson did this VHS 1 special, when it was all about a few acoustics and great vocals.

Here is Lauren doing 'Don't You Wanna Stay?' with Jason Aldean and doing a pretty great job of Kelly Clarkson's vocal part. Her smile is so genuine, it's infectious. A drunk fan comes on stage as well! Lol

Hi yes you can get it from HMV and Amazon and a few other places.

£10 seems to be the cheapest (HMV) - http://hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProduct....do?sku=111991

It really is a good album. If you like Lauren you will love it - she sings with such heart and spirit, you can't help but get into it, even if country isn't your thing.

The best tracks imo are Tupelo and The Locket.

Here is some new material from Lauren - a great ballad called 'Breakdown' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1Ww...e_gdata_player

There is something really genuine about her delivery and the way she tells the story of a song. Will definitely buy her new album when it comes out. Good to see that she has stuck with the same band as well, they've got a good groove that fits her material and Evan Milby is a great guitarist.

Any other fans around?
