With there single being out the same week as one direction, i expected them to get a slot same time. But it looks like its lady gaga! It seems x factor only wants recyled acts and boy bands.

Well they got strictly, they are the show wth the ratings this year!!! lol

The Saturdays are not big enough for the X-factor.

Though they deserve it X Factor won't do it, as they know they need MASSIVE stars now to make sure their ratings pick up.

No way he deserved, Sats deserve it though they won't get it, but now they won't have not big celebs! I think from the week after next everyone will either be massive or be a previous X Factor performer.

It doesn't matter how big you are to get on a show
The point of a show like that is to increase fans and become slightly bigger

The Saturdays aren't going to get a #1 if One Direction release the same week, regardless of The Saturdays song being better than there's, it is a shame

The X Factor want to draw in extra viewers, and I think The Saturdays just won't draw in many extra viewers.

The Saturdays are not big enough for the X-factor.
And Professor Green and his 500k records are?

Compare that to The Saturdays and their 3 million record sales and I think you'll find they are big enough.

Professor Green got the slot through Emile Sande, who writes songs for Syco's artists.

The Wanted are managed by Global Radio, so they get a slot through that connection.

But the likes of The Wanted are?

10 top 10 singles, 3 top 10 albums, 3 sell out tours.. Not big enough aye?

"The Saturdays are not big enough for XFactor"

Are you actually having a laugh?!

The Saturdays are a band that have worked bloody hard to get to where they are.

It is so much more difficult for a girl band to make it then a bunch of good looking guys with mediocre songs.

The Sats came out and I was not interested at all. Then they released 'Up' and that was it. For other people it was 'Ego', but throughout the short the time they have been together so far, they have had to get the backing of the public to succeed - and now they are the biggest (and best IMO) girl band in the country.

Not an easy thing to do when you haven't come from a TV show.

So yes, they bloody do deserve an xfactor slot. And I hope they get it.

Exactly what I was thinking! The Saturdays are still pretty average live, if not cheap! For a show like the x factor whose slots are promoted and staged like big events, The Girls would just fall flat with their basic live act and look pretty amateur...Also, despite being successful in their own right, they're still not big sellers - Only their debut album got platinum - or in popularity compared to other acts who appeared in the show so there's no wonder...

The Saturdays are great live in a studio. Ballad's are their forte (they'd be singing my heart takes over). Frankie and Mollie do not sing solo's in MHTO, and Rochelle always smashes it. The harmonies will be fine as they'll be singing to a backing track.

What you're saying about them being poor live on the XFactor singing MHTO is rubbish.

They are actually managed by Maximum Artist Management - the same management company as The Saturdays.

The only "Global" they are attached to is Global Talent Ltd, their record label, which is nothing to do with Global Radio..... They don't even have the same parent company / owner.....

I like the OP's implication that they're any better than One Direction, never mind Lady Gaga.

They're the least interesting girl group the UK has produced in a long time, and the general public probably wouldn't give a shit if they broke up tomorrow.

Perhaps you should both watch them on tour? You'll see just how "bad" they are! Then I'll have hats for you to eat afterwards.....
