I think they wanted to choose a name which was close to the original but it was quite a poor choice.

They showed that clip of them announcing their new name which I thought was stupid because everyone knew the new name before this was shown. It was even announced on the show earlier.

Then one of the says "Our new name is", they pat their legs to imitate a drum roll and all shout "LITTLE MIX!". Seriously, how lame was that?

Little Mix is a better name than Rythmix.

Little Lenny Henry was already taken.


I think they're being deliberately styled to appear less attractive than they are - the theory being that they'll get more votes than other previous girl bands this way (all things being equal, they've got some of the best looking girls that have ever been on the show - they're just not allowed to be seen to be. Yet. Leona Lewis's hair followed a similar journey.)

Why not miss mix? but maybe too similar to miss frank.

Sex sells as they say and sadly they're not that wrong. If they want to appeal, they need sex appeal. Sorry but I didn't make the rules of life.
