Are the Apprentice Boys Mainly Snobs?

They nearly all seem to be spoilt brats.
Is it just me.
They seem so posh and what the show needs is a cockney wheeler dealer kid I feel.

In fairness, Mahamed had the cockney wheeler-dealer thing going in spades! But no, I disagree with the title. It's just Harry M, really! Very condescending lad. Dismissive. None of the others are, though. Harry H has his head screwed on straight, while James and Lewis are both quite blustery but far from snobby.

I think Harry M is having a laugh with his OTT pompousity. The faces he pulls whenever someone gets annoyed by him, he knows what he's doing

LS was out of order last night, firstly talking of the fact that he isn't liked when he has said countless times that he isn't popular himself and that popularity has nothing to do with business.

Second, mentioning in front of Lewis was bad as Harry is at a disadvantage, all Lewis has to do is tell the others to continue to scorn Harry M at every opportunity, is LS sees that he still isnt liked - he'll fire him.

Harry M tried to act all nice and contrite when he got back to the house, but this will not work for him.

As for snobs, only the two Harrys fit that mould, having been transported straight from private school

James? A snob...? LOL, perish the thought.

Harry told all of the others what Lord S told him himself when he got back to the house.

Lewis doesn't need to tell any of them anything - if he doesn't watch his mouth and attitude - Harry is dead in the water, HE gave the others the ammunition they need to shoot him down!

Just Harry M really although I'd give that idiot James a kick in the teeth aswell, he wouldn't let the book thing go, he's the most pathetic candidate methinks

Only James H has come out from the boys looking remotely strong.

Surely part of their horrible attitude is down to how they've been raised. They haven't had enough life experience to have been knocked down a peg or two yet.

Harry (the posh one) is too annoying. His attitude is by far the worst.

The blond Harry actually talks a lot of sence but he does have a way about him that makes him appear to look down his nose at other people. It's just his immaturity and lack of experience with people outside of his social group. Give him a few years of mixing with people from all walks of life and it'll get knocked out of him.

Don't see any snobbery in the others tbh but the Irish one is hideous

Am I the only one who thought that Lewis was totally out of order for mocking Harry's accent in the back of the car, then again the boardroom? I feel Lewis is threatened by Harry , not only because he's better, but because of how he speaks.

Yep - Harry was being a precocious little tw*t with his "Let's see in the Boardroom!" comment and Lewis was quite right to call him on it.

Harry was kicking Lewis when he was down - and was surprised when Lewis fought back

Totally agree and James is sooo irritating. His ideas are always the best according to him. Ooo I could quite shout at the telly

you can 'call' somebody on something, without resorting to mocking accents. Lewis was totally out of his depth and was lucky not to get fired as I think he was the main reason they failed.

There is, more than a little bit actually. Need a couple of Barrow Boys in there. Mahamed kind of did that, but ended up reminding me of Dizzee Rascal throughout! He was a bit bonkers I guess.

Harry M is a nasty, nasty piece of work. He deserved to be fired purely for being a bit of a prat.

What's a snob? Somebody with a posh accent? There are plenty of pretentious people who shun aspects of life but who weren't born with a silver spoon, so don't quite understand the OP. Why just the boys anyway? What about Zara - would she not be classed as a snob?

I like Harry H - Not sure I'd call him a snob though - a nice, grounded young man I think

i noticed how ft the two harry's are.

I can image them 10 years now, a few too many trips to gregs bakers and even more overweight and with bad skin.

They are not snobs. What you have in this series is the illustration of how far ahead in preparation for life and competition many privately educated pupils are against most of the rest of the world who rely on state education. When I went to university and came up against public school types I realised how little my state education - and I went to a top state school - had prepared me for public speaking, presentation, social skills, sheer drive, ambition and on setting my sights at the absolute top.

In the privately educated kids in this series they believe it's all there for them - not for the taking, but if they put their minds to it. Their confidence levels and their maturity are striking compared to some of the others.

A large proportion of the Young Apprentice candidates are privately educated. but it's only Harry M who comes across as pompous and fitting that image many of us have of public school oiks.

My children both went to private schools for part of their education and came up against pupils like Harry. Hope Lord S teaches Harry M that success is more than having an expensive education and rich daddy!

They are not snobs.

Harry M. is very middle class. Nothing's wrong with it. Just deal with it!

Personality & look wise, Harry H. is nicer (but this is not Mr Congeniality contest). Harry H. is from Brighton, so he's more "relaxed" (if you know what I mean).

Not everyone from a comfortable background is a snob - attitude to one's peers is usually guided by parents and it should be remembered that much of the legislation leading to a more equal society was fought for by the rich and influential. In fact the Hyacinth Buckets of this world and what some term 'terrace house tories' display more disdain to the less fortunate than many of their fellows.

I haven't noticed any poshness or snobbery. When and where?
Anyway, if someone does sound a bit posh it doesn't make them a snob.
