14.2m peak audience (13.9m excl +1) for The X Factor last night on ITV1. 10.6m (10.4m excl +1) peak audience for I'm A Celeb.

Sam_Hodges
A peak audience of 12.4m viewers saw Russell Grant leave last night's #Strictly #SCD #BBC1”

So estimated averages maybe 12.2m for TXF?, 9.5m for IAC? and 11.1m for SCD? (these are pure guesswork on my part.)

Sam Hodges says SCD peaked at 12.4m.

Which I think is 0.5m up on the week.

Not sure how TXFs 13.9m peak compares to last week, but IAC was well down on the week, peaking 1.1m below last week's AVERAGE!

so no one is sharing the average, that said 14.2 peak is impressive.

The ITV1 singing contest drew 11.77m (39.1%) from 8pm with a further 230k (0.8%) on ITV+1, while 11m tuned in to see Russell Grant leave Strictly Come Dancing from 7.30pm.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! followed The X Factor by delivering 9.5m (35.5%) from 9pm (+1: 230k/0.8%)

Wow, SCD now only 0.77m behind a TXF Sunday show as both shows near their climaxes!

Who could honestly have predicted that 6 months ago?!

No wonder McLeod is only tweeting the peaks!

The trouble is, when the peak is down over 1 million on last year's average, it's a difficult one to spin.

Overall last night's results show for TXF was down about 3.5m (exc. +1) / 3.3m (inc. +1) on the equivalent show last year, I believe the biggest drop we've seen so far.

Strictly meanwhile was basically stable year-on-year, logging an insignificant decline of 70k.

So confirmation (by omission) that there is no Royle Family Xmas special.

"Film premiers on BBC One include Tropic Thunder, Monsters Vs Aliens, Ratatouille, Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa."

No Up this year, then. I figured as much because apparently it's only just hit Sky Movies.

Probably the worst movie selection for a few years. I guess Monsters vs Aliens will get the post-Queen slot.

Ah! Cheers sn_22, saves me having to do it.

TV Burp looks low, even for a repeat. I remember there was a time when the repeat used to do almost as well as the main showing!

Good rating for Grease. 5 films did pretty well, too.

cant believe I forgot about the Newswipe review of the year, BBC 3 sounds dire, but plenty of stuff on BBC 1, 2 & 4 this Christmas.

Whats this Lost Christmas?

“Eddie Izzard, Jason Flemyng, Steven Mackintosh, Larry Mills and Geoffrey Palmer star in Lost Christmas – an urban fairytale from the backstreets of Manchester”

Looking forward to hearing certain people's views on the latest Daybreak shenanigans. Particularly as even ITV itself has given up pretending that the programme is a success.
