The Gadget Show producers should take note. Best episode in ages due to focus on actual tech rather than silly challenges is rewarded with a good rating!

I think its pretty certain that the Young Apprentice will be back next year, they were advertising for new contestants for next year at the end of last night ep.

surprising given the ratings.

They can put it somewhere else though. It would probably still be a solid enough 4m banker if it wasn't for IAC.

I'm not really enjoying it as much as previous series but I will stick with it now to see who wins.

whilst is more realistic than the Charlie Sheen rumours, its still more speculation than news at the moment.

Dancc are you expecting the Channel 5 PI today or tomorrow?

Its losing viewers every week, very poor.

not true, the show has struggled to get 1 million this year, so any week its over 1 million is worthy of note at the moment.

If it was the Star or Express reporting it, then I'd take it with a pinch of salt. But since it's the Mail, it's a bit more credible. Plus we know he was close to appearing on CBB previously.

As for the PI, it will be out tomorrow according to the e-mail I received last week.

Very high rating for Strictly on 2 there?

Surprised IAC still below 9m with Corrie lead in.

Good rating for The Choir yesterday, helping BBC2 to a really solid evening between 8-10pm with an average of about 3m. Pretty much as good as it gets for the channel apart from Top Gear nights. Is OK TV rating better than that slot this time last year? It's been hitting a few 0.4m/0.5m recently which seems an improvement. Still low though in the grand scheme of things, so the right decision for C5 to axe it. I wonder what the likely options are to replace it with? I was wrong about The Gadget Show a few weeks ago, I thought the move back to Mondays wouldn't really help, but it's found its feet again the last couple of weeks. The share still could be a little bit better but at least it's back into solid ground now.

Incidentally looking at the last two DS articles, it seems like the ITV1 primetime shares exclude HD. On Sunday, its share was 29.5% inc HD across primetime.

It's a good rating but it's not uncommon for It Takes Two to rate in the high 2's at this time of the year. The equivalent episode last year even had 3m.

Do you know how well Judge Judy is doing on ITV2? Since those are repeats from years back perhaps C5 could pick up a new series or two of that.

I'm thinking wildlife documentaries are probably the most likely option though, at least in the short term.

Good for IAC, a touch lower than last year but they'll be pleased it held 9m. Very good for The Choir and BBC2 overall. The Gadget Show and The Hotel Inspector have increased in recent weeks and both did well last night. Low for Young Apprentice. IAC is really denting it and it's in the wrong slot. It isn't 9pm material - Thursday at 8pm would be better.

Also, does anyone know how The Chase and You've Been Framed did on Saturday night please?

Maybe Eerybody Hates Chris or even a double episode of Home & Away!

Here's how Judge Judy rated at 6.30pm on ITV2 for its two most recent episodes:

17/11- 273k
18/11- 143k

Not sure if those 2 ratings are a fair reflection of how it usually rates. I can't currently get anymore data but if I do later today for the rest of last week, I'll post them.

I think for C5, you could maybe assume it would get about double those ratings of ITV2's. But even so, it would put JJ at about 0.4-0.6m. Not much of an improvement from OK TV, although I'm not sure how wildlife documentaries have rated for C5 in that slot previously? Unlucky that C5 didn't go for Friends because that would've solved their problems in that slot.

From memory, it was 3.9/4.0m for both. I'll post the two ratings later today when I get access to data.

IAC is doing fantastic and since when did shows really do better 'cause of a Corrie' lead in?

People are too used to watching a soap and then seeing what else is on for it to have any real affect on what they watch next - unless you know - they like IAC.

Its doing well again this year - I think as long as Ant and Dec stay fresh the show will continue to do well (unless they go all BB ofc and ruin it)

Strictly need to do a lot more on Sundays - I've not looked at its ratings there before but its pretty much its old audience goes up - its youth audience collapses.

A big positive though - Merlin seems to be building from its younger demo if am thinking correctly.

Thanks for that.

I agree Friends was a massive oversight. But Comedy Central seemed to snap up the rights almost instantly.

As for the wildlife documentaries, Zoo Days repeats were getting just under 400k before OK! TV launched so could be a good cost effective stopgap.

Eastenders and Corrie still doing quite poorly for a November Monday. Really bad share for Eastenders, beaten by Emmerdale, EE should be about 3% or 4% higher than that. From next week onwards comparing the soaps year-on-year will become unfavorable though due to the Corrie anniversary and the big snow events we had late November into mid December this time last year.

Elsewhere Panorama and Young Apprentice did particularly poorly, I'm a Celeb did reasonably by its standards but with +1 stripped out it was only 8.5m. The ITV 10pm News saw a small boost due to the lead-in and also a decent rating for Real Crime - by 10:35pm standards.

Real Crime started quite high and has increased its audience every week IIRC. Had no idea it was so popular, but Mark Austin is a top presenter.

I don't watch it, so at that time of day, has ITV used all their advert allowance and it's going out advert free?
