Down a tenth from the last Wednesday show and four tenths from the Tuesday show]. CBS (predictably) won with total viewers although it was ABC who had the biggest individual show of the night with Modern Family winning the night in both the demo and total viewers. On a Modern Family note that 5.6 is a season low.
Elsewhere NBC had (another) disastrous night. After doing its best to hold up by itself for the season so far Up All Night dropped to a series low 1.8. Harry’s Law and SVU were also at series lows. NBC really need to parachute something into this Wednesday night schedule but God knows what (30 Rock and Grimm for sweeps maybe? They can’t possibly do worse).
Mixed night for ABC on the whole with The Middle and Suburgatory both down 9% whilst Happy Endings was steady and Revenge was up 11% to its best performance since its debut. I’d preach caution though here I think there may have been a Modern Family (and Happy Endings) overrun that might be throwing off the ABC numbers a little but we’ll see come finals.
On CBS Criminal Minds was at a season low but CSI was up 4%. Meanwhile The CW aired another repeat of Ringer last night. That was their third Ringer repeat of the week plus there was an original episode on Tuesday.

ABC must be surprised themselves with the hits that they have been getting. The new shows that had low expectations (Revenge - even with all that heavy promotions for the premiere, Once Upon a Time) has been doing much better than what they thought they were going to get. Pan Am has been disappointing and wasn't there a point during upfronts where Charlie's Angels had high hopes? I have no idea what Suburbgatory's anticipations were like. ABC is taking the night off next week for the CMA Awards.
Now that ABC has Wednesday night sorted, perhaps they can try to make other nights work and not only have to rely on Grey's Anatomy. I read a tweet from Any Brenneman, the star of Private Practice, replying to a fan question about why PP is only promoted by a voiceover with Grey's promo.
Amy's response (

“Because ABC does not value PP as much as Grey's. Sad, but honest truth.”
I'm not sure if same can be said for either Body of Proof or Happy Endings. Just saying that they are after DWTS or Modern Family is not really promoting the show enough. How well is Castle promoted on ABC?
A typically good night for CBS and it looks like the "music video" episode of ANTM didn't really pay off, despite "leaking" in blogs and celebrity news sites. Then again, people have been criticizing this cycle for being gimmicky and a let-down. Oh dear at NBC. Up All Night is sinking and Harry's Law is virtually unwatched. Tonight, people are wondering whether NBC's Prime Suspect or USA's Burn Notice will rate higher.
