ABC didn't have low expectations for anything on their Fall schedule except perhaps Charlie's Angels and their expectations for that were driven down by a market that just wasn't interested in it. Revenge and Once Upon A Time both had a lot of critical support and massive promotional push. I'd also say that people are getting very overexcited about the early success of both Revenge and particularly Once Upon a Time. I read something early this week that had Once Upon A Time as a new flagship that was going to revive the entire network which just made me want to scream that its aired two episodes both of which have had a lot of promotion behind them.

“Now that ABC has Wednesday night sorted, perhaps they can try to make other nights work and not only have to rely on Grey's Anatomy. I read a tweet from Any Brenneman, the star of Private Practice, replying to a fan question about why PP is only promoted by a voiceover with Grey's promo...”
I don't know why they'd be throwing more money behind Private Practice at this point. Its a show that is on its last leg and has survived for this long purely because of who its executive producer is. And at this stage in its lifespan Practice should have an established audience that knows when its on and is unlikely to be picking up new viewers. ABC need to focus on trying to minimise the drops on shows like Grey's and find new hits. And for the most part that's what they're doing.

That logo is hideous. However a rebrand of some description needed to happen at More4 because it was one hell of a confused mess of a channel. I can't say I'm overjoyed about the route they're taking with it but something had to change.
