That last stat is pretty worrying considering this was supposed to be a big Auttumn for Channel 5 with a Big Brother, Hotel Inspector and Paul Merton. The viewers just aren't raking in at the moment and it's a worry.

Second month running, ITV (+2%) was the only broadcaster up in market share y-o-y (RWC helped), whilst Channel 5 was once again level, and BBC (-2%) and Channel 4 (-4%) were down vs. last October. In terms of the terrestrial channels: BBC1 (-2%), BBC2 (-6%), ITV1 (-4%), C4 (-3%), C5 (-2%) were all down year-on-year.
The BBC's most improved channels were CBeebies and BBC4 (+17% each) while BBCHD shed the most viewers vs. last year. ITV3 experienced a strong gain of +22% but ITV4 was down -19% y-o-y. E4 slipped -16% (no Inbetweeners effect?) but Film4 experienced a +8% growth y-o-y. On C5, 5USA managed to rise +11% y-o-y.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
And here's a look at how the broadcasters have averaged for the first 10 months of 2011 (January to October) vs. the first 10 months of 2010:
BBC: 32.9% (Jan-Oct 2010: 32.8%)
ITV: 22.9% (22.6%)
CH4: 11.6% (11.6%)
CH5: 6.0% (6.0%)
So for the first 10 months of the year, all four major broadcasters are either flat or up slightly vs. last year: BBC (+0.3%), ITV (+1.3%), CH4 (+0.2%), CH5 (+0.3%).”
Interesting that ITV has actually risen since last year, but Channel 5 is overall flat compared to last year again. I bet they weren't expecting this sort of data when they picked up Big Brother.

I'm not sure how All About Amy will do- The Tamera Ecclestone show is flopping big time so I'm not sure whether this will do great either...
