Lol, no one seems to know what it is. It's not drinking or going out as he's done this all along. Most seem to think it must be something illegal . . .

Maybe drugs. and i also think contestents are not allowed to sleep with other contestents in the house so maybe he did that.

I know I made a post, where I said his "crimes" are not that bad, but if it was something like drugs, then obviously the show should cut ties.

Ratings maybe only be down slightly, but the X-Factor is normally a tight ship, with everything pretty much under control, this has not been the case this year. Its like a work place gone wrong when a new manager takes over.

I am cynical when it comes to everything X Factor does now. I bet this Frankie's biggest crime apart from his dreadful singing was rubbing the producers up the wrong way, so now he's served his purpose as the token bad singer they want to oust him dramatically in a bid to get the press machine going again and drive ratings going forward. All this after he was "saved" by the public on Sunday.

It's precisely this kind of exploitative nonsense which makes me want to watch Strictly this weekend just to lend my support to the only real opposition.

I suspect his breaking of a "golden rule" occurred quite some time ago, and has been kept quiet for use at the most opportune moment to give the ratings a shot in a arm.

Some good ratings last night on the main channels. All 3 soaps postings strong figures. As predicted for The Jury - 6.2m for a courtroom drama is very good, Young Apprentice is steady and 4m is not a bad rating for such a show - Channel 5 had a low audience share, BBC2 not much short of 10% was the success story last night up against heavy opposition from BBC1/ITV1.

With regard to Frankie 'leaving', if anything it has removed controversy - Dermot taking 5 minutes on Saturday to explain he is no longer in the competition, the pull for the audience would be if the judges could vote him back on the show. I don't expect Saturday's show to do much better than last week. I can see both SCD/TXF being pretty equal at 10m.

Using a four-letter word on any TV programme before the 9 pm watershed is never a good idea - ask Jools Holland.

which rather begs the question, where he got the drugs from? I would have thought they would all have security and mentors with them, if only for their safety, but also to protect the show.

1.3% share for 5USA Monday. More popular than Sky1, ITV4, More4 and equal with Film4 in multichannel homes. Looks like NCIS is gaining momentum again in that 9pm slot with Doc Martin out of the picture.

I watched the 1st programme last night, and will def. watch the rest this week. It was very moving.

Was it filmed a few years ago though? At the end we see all the old soldiers faces on the screen with "in memory of.." If it had been filmed earlier this year then these guys would be 110+ (!). From these figures it looks as if the programme was filmed years ago then shelved till now, or am I missing something?!

Wonder what will replace OKTV? I assume it'll be repeats or factual shows. I'd be tempted to have Big Brother's Bit on the Side at 6.30pm with maybe a return of Big Mouth on Fridays after the eviction show either on the main channel or 5*.

Lost Heroes did double what Wish List have been doing but Channel 5 should consider having more half-hour shows at 8pm, some of them would do a lot better especially the ones that do well.

Never mind that, we might soon be asking what will replace The Coke Factor, sorry, X Factor...?

Reading another thread, Sue Johnston has said on the Titchmarsh show that there will be a Christmas Royle Family, but it's not filmed yet.

Are you sure the Titchmarsh show wasn't recorded because the BBC did confirm there would be no Christmas Royles.

Alan Titchmarsh is usually live or recorded on the same day of transmission. I wonder if the special may be going ahead after all.

Have the BBC officially confirmed that there won't be an episode as there are some much tabloid rubbish thesedays with 'sources' it's hard to remember what has actually been confirmed and what hasn't.

I think Titchmarsh is filmed pretty close to transmission. It certainly will have been filmed after the Sun's article.

Good rating for News at Ten last night.

I thought i'd mention it because for some reason there is always major discussion when it drops below 2m but it is always ignored when it rates over 3m. Does this thread focus too much on low ratings?
